Started to make an easel card for The Outlawz; however, it was taking me so much time on how to do it, I decided to do a shaker card instead. Love the Doodlebug Easter Express paper pack and it wasn't difficult to bring the two designs together. Instead of a flower I chose to put this adorable chick in the bottom corner from Paper Smooches.

When visiting Paper Smooches blog to see if I could post this card, I came across Virtual Smooches Give-a-way. Virtual Smooches works in partnership with Paper Smooches and does tutorials for them relative to their products. It's a great site to get new and old and techniques. If you are inspired by one of the tutorials you can enter your project at Inspired By Virtual Smooches by Savanah O'Gwynn. Viewed three shaker card tutorials "Shaker (2)" and "Shaker Card".

I love your cute "Chubby Chum" - perfect for the season. Pretty colors for the spring!
Such a cute spring-y card. I love how the sequins inside the shaker are spread out and not all at the bottom. The yellow chick is adorable.
What a fabulous Spring and Easter card--- that egg shaker looks like a candy! YUM! And I love love love that you decorated the inside of the card! I never do that because I forget and run out of time! LOL! Can't wait to share this on the VS blog as our featured player- be sure to stop back by <3 HUGS <3

Such a fun shaker, Suzanne! Love all the pastels! I was working with that egg cut last night. You know what they say about great minds.....you'll be seeing my egg card in a few weeks! ;)

Thank you. Anxious to see what you do. I really spent a lot of time trying to get this cut to work for an easel card, but I couldn't get the outer cut lines off of the bottom half of the front. Any ideas?

Hmmm.....are you trying to make a flat edge on the bottom of the egg? If so, you could just slice off what you don't want using the slice feature.
Reply by Suzanne Reynolds on March 16, 2017 at 12:21am No I need the inside cut of the egg on the bottom but not the outside Maybe I'll give it a few more minutes of experiment.

Sometimes cards just want to be what they want to be. Shaker cards are always fun, and this one is adorable, Sue!
