Color Dare #574 "TicTacToe" and DTC #152 DeJa-BREW Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 8

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #574 "TicTacToe" Board.  My choice of colors were Column 3 (Acorn, Pumpkin, Honey Butter + Limeade) using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #550 to create a Thanksgiving card.

And why add that pumpkin spice drink next to the pie for Coffee Lover's.   Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants.

DTC "DeJa-BREW" is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 8.

BackGround:  The leaf background, one of my favorite patterned papers in the CTMH Gnomes for Autumn, was cut and layered with acorn cardstock.  The Mix-In Honey Butter patterned paper was cut in three half inch strips and adhered to Pumpkin cardstock and then adhered to the background.

Image: The turkey image was stamped using Memento black ink, fussy-cut and colored using Copic Sketch pens closely matching CTMH colors as in the Color Board. Using the other side of the Honey Butter patterned paper, instead of a star, used Paper Smooches Bam Bubble, layered with pumpkin cardstock, adhered the turkey with 3D thin foam tape

Embelllishments:  Had a perfect leaf border die which reminded me of the leaf design of my background.  Using the same background paper cut leaf border and separated randomly and partially adhered each leaf behind the Bam Bubble and curled the edges.  And what more to enjoy with a pie... a pumpkin spice latte. Cut a small too-go cup using a toffee patterned paper, stamped and colored a pumpkin on cup and added whipped cream to the top for deliciousness.

Sentiment:  Stamped sentiment on same pattern used for Bubble, cut ends of banner, layered with pumpkin and adhered to card.

Cut a second Leaf Border using the same background paper and adhered to the inside bottom border of card.

Please hop on over and join us at Color Dare #574, check out the Design Teams inspiration and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there. You may also like to hop over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, check out their Design Team members inspiration and see how easy it might be to combine these two challenges.

DTC 152 - Participating with the Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 7

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. Another card using the CTMH "Home for Christmas" paper pack and inspired by the Tuesday  Morning Sketches #732

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 7.

Found Newton in my coffee stash already masked and colored, a latte heart and sentiment... so all that was needed were the background cuts as in the sketch.  Selected a paid for my border, the green leaf pattern for the larger scalloped panel, and a woodgrain to set Newton on.  For some dimension Newton and the sentiment were adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

On the inside R-H border of the card base adhered a couple strips of the same patterned papers used for the front of the card.

There are still (2) days to join our Double Trouble "DeJa-BREW" with a coffee themed project and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your coffee themed project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.

DTC Challenge #153 "Recipe to a Happy Harvest" and 152 "DeJa-BREW" Day 6

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is another Coffee themed card for Day 6.

This is another project for Double Trouble Challenge #153 "Recipe to a Happy Harvest" which includes at least 3 patterned papers, 2 embellishments and 1 Fall or Harvest Item.  Twisted Sister's optional twist is to consider using Try Stampin' On Tuesday Sketch #632 and add a sentiment.

When I saw the colorful striped patterned paper in the CTMH Gnome Autumn paperpack it was perfect to stamp my turkey which wouldn't require coloring.  Using pumpkin cardstock cut a to-go-cup die, stamped sentiment, layered with thin black border and adhered in place of the stamped sign from original turkey stamp. For more dimension the feathers were cut from turkey and adhere with more foam tape on the tip of the feathers.

I must have cut two or sometimes three of the same panel size in each of the patterns in the Gnome paperpack, added a thin layer for each with pumpkin cardstock. Tried so many combinations of my pre-cut/layered patterns but it wasn't until I revisited some of the Mix-in patterns and found a pattern paper in Honey Butter, using both sides, and it was my perfect combination for my striped turkey.  Masked a couple corn cobs, colored with Copic brush pens and added to the bottom corner of my turkey panel.  Adhered two yellow dots as the embellishments required in the "3-2-1 Recipe for a Happy Harvest".

On the inside of the card added some patterned paper to the the right-hand side border.

This photo also shows the piecing, cutting and dimension of the Turkey image.

I'm laughing now because it probably took me longer contemplating what papers to use with a striped turkey and probably coloring it would have been much faster. However, I already have my papers cut and can set up another paper combination for a second card (See here).

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble 3-2-1 Recipe, check out the Design Teams inspiration and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there. DTC #152 - Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 6

Join us at Double Trouble Challeng #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants.

In participation with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop here is my card for Day 6 using the eclipse technique for the coffee cup while piecing it to the background paper.

Sentiment was stamped with black ink on white cardstock and layered with red cardstock. A couple of the flowers were cut from same patterned paper placed near and under the sentiment and adhered with thin foam tape for dimension. There is a Holly in the center of the design paper to meet the extra perk to share with the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge.

Another PERK?  If you have included at least one Holly element on a Christmas coffee  theme card, you can also enter the Coffee Lover's challenge at "Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23"
On the R-H border of the inside adhered both design papers used on front and added another small cut flowr on bottom.

DTC #152 - Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 5

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. Used another patterned paper fromCarta Bella Santa's Workshop prize from Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmaker which inspired this card.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 5.

Another PERK?  If you have included at least one Holly element on a Christmas coffee  theme card, you can also enter the Coffee Lover's challenge at "Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23"
Another fun card to put together in meeting all the requirements of the three challenges.

The Red Snowflake patterned paper, layered on Candy Apple cardstock, was a colorful background for the white bear image with a pop of green.  The "stitched border strips" were cut using glitter paper for separation of the panels as in sketch. The center panel was adhered with thin foam tape for dimension.

Stamped the bear using black ink, cut with Scan 'N Cut, made some slits around the arm and leg to raise up with thin foam for dimension.  Colored with a variety of colors using Copic Sketch brush pens. Stamped, colored and cut a small holly to place on the bears hat.

Sentiment was stamped on white cardstock, layered with red cardstock and adhered direct to the background paper.

This photo shows the dimension of the front of the card and the inside card base using a strip of glitter paper and the same patterned paper along the border.

DTC #152 - Particpating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 4

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. This card was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #550.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 4.

For the background chose the Snowflake patterned paper from the 6 x 6 paperpack I won from BYSHC.  Using the polka dot patterned paper cut three 1/2" stitched strips and adhered to the snowflake background. In place of the star used a snowflake die cut through the background to suffice for the foliage.

Penguin and To-Go-Cup was stamped in black, colored where needed, slit the penguin's fllipper to place the cup, glued Penguin's flipper around cup and adhered with 3D thin foam tape near bottom of snowflake (the penguin is my star). Added a layer of Lagoon cardstock behind the background and adhered to card base.  Sentiment was stamped in black on white cardstock, layered with Lagoon cardstock and adhered next to the penguin.

Used another snowflake border die border using a Lagoon patterned paper and added to the bottom on the inside of the card.

DTC Challenge #153B "Recipe to a Happy Harvest" - Card 2 Happy Harvest

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble Challenge #153 "Recipe to a Happy Harvest" which includes at least 3 patterned papers, 2 embellishments and 1 Fall or Harvest Item. Twisted Sister's optional twist is to consider using Try Stampin' On Tuesday Sketch #632 and add a sentiment for another chance at the random drawing.

When making another card for this challenge, I set it aside for a future date.  I had many additional pre-cut/layered patterns from the Gnome paperpack which I was able to put together for a second card. Chose three of the patterned papers but this time chose a Cornucopia image for my Recipe.

Colored my image with Copic Sketch brushes using a variety of colors to match the colors in the paperpack, rectangle sized with part of the image fussy-cut and then layered with pumpkin cardstock.  Sentiment was stamped below the image on the larger panel and two green dots were added in the upper r-h corner to finish my "Recipe".

On the inside of the card added some patterned paper to the the right-hand side border.

I'm not laughing now because I got two cards out of my decision to use a striped turkey in my first card (see here).

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble, check out the Design Teams inspiration and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there. You may also like to hop over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday, check out their Design Team members inspiration and see how easy it might be to combine these two challenges.
