Just Because - Color Dare #351

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #351 TicTacToe using "Craft On" color palette (Row 3: Pansy, Emerald, Pixie + Thistle) and used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #324.  

Since Hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers I chose to use the same as in the sketch using Pansy and Pixie as my colors with a background of Emerald.  There was a Cricut Cut that I had used before and a good match for this sketch.  Added a bow to the tag and chose a sentiment that can be applied to many occasions.

Vogue Friends

This card is made for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #110.  I won a stamp set at a Crop a few weeks ago, and traded mine for this stamp set, and had wanted to do a card since. My choice of paper was something that I thought would be Chic for this CTMH Stamp Set "Better with a Friend."  After choosing my cardstock "Paper Fundamentals - Basic/Black," I stamped and fussy-cut the two chic shoppers, stamped the sentiment and cut all the pieces required of the Sketch.  

In placing the cardstock pieces I ended up turning the sketch to landscape because it needed better spacing.

The small background cuts were matched up to the zig-zag of the Black & White Zig-Zags.  Are they on a run-way...walking down the sidewalk...coming out of a store...are their buildings behind them...I'll leave that to everyone's imagination.

A lot of fussy-cutting took place prior to the coloring so went through stages of coloring...originally was going to leave chic shoppers all black and white; then decided to just color the dress on each but that looked ghostly.  Final decision was to color the chic shoppers but leave the shopping bags in black and white giving the card some color but primarily keeping with the black and white.

A few more embellishments...Wink of Stella "Clear" was put on the dresses, and used 3D Foam Tape to adhere the Chic Shoppers and Sentiment to cardstock.  Small bling on the Sentiment and Flower in hat; and larger bling on the side.  A turquoise flower from my sewing supplies added to the upper right-hand corner to  of the card, just enough to soften the black and white, and add a pop of color.
