DTC #152 - Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 2

Join us at Double Trouble Challeng #152 "DeJa-Brew" and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. As a previous winner at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmaker my prize primarily included a Santa stamp set and paperpack which inspired this card and Sketch #39 was perfect for the Santa stamp.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 2.

Another PERK?  If you have included at least one Holly element on a Christmas coffee  theme card, you can also enter the Coffee Lover's challenge at "Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23"
This was a fun card to put together in meeting all the requirements of the three challenges and my Design Team card for our Double Trouble challenge.

The North Pole map and swirly sky patterned papers were perfect for Santa's lift off and were adhered to Candy Apple cardstock. My new die "stitched border strips" were cut with same cardstock and used for separation of the panels in sketch. Sentiment stamped direct on background with black Memento ink.

Stamped the Santa in Sleigh using black ink, stamped coffee beans on Santa's bag, colored with a variety of colors using Copic Sketch brush pens, fussy-cut around Santa and sleigh,  and cut image to separate Santa's bag.

Santa wanted a large coffee because it was going to be a long night...  so I slit along the sleigh line to place a cup.  Cut a To-Go-Cup, stamped a Holly, colored, adhered with foam tape between the sleigh and Santa.  Santa and sleigh were lined up with Santa's bag... bag adhered direct to background and sleigh adhered with 3D thin foam tape for additional dimension.  For additional embellishment added liquid glass to the bells on sleigh and Santa's nose.  Photos below will show the dimension, embellishment and inside of card using left-over patterned paper.

Hope to see you at Double Trouble "DeJa-BREW" and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your coffee themed project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.

DTC #152 - Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 1

Join us at Double Trouble Challeng #152 "DeJa-BREW" and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. This card was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #549... perfect for a fun fold.  Almost forgot my pun for Twisted Sister's optional twist... wasn't sure how I was going to get that in without a re-make or new card, but with the help of Thing 2 Double Dare she suggested Cool Beans... so a sign on the snowman to-go-cup was hand-drawn and adhered with thin 3D tape. Phew, that wasn't hard.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 1.  AND I have some blog candy for you today! Be sure to comment on Double Trouble Challenge post HERE and win a prize from me!

This was a fun card to put together in meeting all the requirements of the three challenges.  These design papers were a gift as winner of the August BYSHC Challenge #36 and I will be using more papers in future Christmas cards.

When opening card on L-H side there is another sentiment and a Holly to meet the requirement at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23.

Opening on the R-H side there is a Penquin holding another sentiment leaving some room for signature on bottom.  Turn to the back of the card and you have plenty of space for a personal message to your recipient.

Hope to see you at Double Trouble "DeJa-BREW" and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your coffee themed project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.

Have a Cup of Cheer - Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #20

This is my card for Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #20 "Critters" using the BYSHC Sketch #36 which was perfect for my Cute Critter image and paper selection.

Kitty image with hot cocoa was stamped with Memento Black ink, colored using Copic Sketch Brush pens and fussy cut.  A scalloped stitched rectangle was cut and bordered with green cardstock.  Design papers and zip strips were used for all other cuts in the the sketch and bordered with green cardstock and adhered direct to card base with the one strip of green cardstrip adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  Kitty was added with 3D thin foam tape for dimension on the stitched rectangle. A speech bubble was cut, bordered with green cardstock, sentiment stamped with black ink and adhered in upper-right hand corner.

The balance of the Zip Strip from paperpack was adhered inside card base to the bottom and right-hand borders.

Please hop on over to Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #20 "Critters" and check out the Design Teams inspiration and other entrants. Your entry must be a Christmas/Holiday Card using an image and/or sentiment related to Coffee, Tea or Hot Cocoa, and for August use at least one cute critter.

Sweet Holiday Wishes "Christmas in July" Santa's Hat

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #143 "Christmas in July" partnering with with Jingle Belles Challenge "Santa's Hat"

Still feeling the heat of Summer in Arizona I linked HERE again to listen to Christmas Carols. When going through my stash... found two cute reindeers, one with a Santa hat already stamped and cut, some patterned paper with Santa Hats and a coordinating polka-dot paper.  Picked up my Copic Sketch pens and started coloring.  Used the two patterned papers for my background and adhered the deer with 3D thin foam tape.

Added little embellishments, a stamped swirl star on Coffee Cup die cut, a Christmas Present which was pieced with two design papers and sentiment  printed on the speech bubble die cut in black ink.

Thinking of You - Double Trouble Challenge #141 - "SomeThing AnyThing EveryThing" Mini Slimline

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" challenge using Twisted Sister's optional twist to create a Slimline card to celebrate the longest day of the year.  I chose CTMH "Cherry Blossoms" because it was a good fit for a mini slimline and perfect for a Thinking of You card for a special friend. Stamped, fussy-cut and colored the Cherry Blossoms and set aside.

Since I made quite a few Gel Press backgrounds at my daughter's cabin retreat that's the first place visited to seek out a background... it's nice to pull out backgrounds already completed and not have to get messy.  This background was chosen for the pretty pattern and color to show off my cherry blossoms.

We had lunch the other day with a friend in Mesa and decided on our way home we would visit our local scrapbooking store "Scraps of Love" and found some great windows for a mini card... and windows are great for a shaker card. So the hexagon cuts were made on the gel press background when I realized I was lacking a 1/2" to cover the length of the mini; but had just enough cut off on the width to extend the bottom which adhered tightly to the bottom.

Added my acrylic panel, placed foam tape around windows and edges, added the sequins, cut a patterned paper in pale pink (doily-like affect), adhered patterened paper to the back of the windows and then to the card base.

Added the sentiment to the right corner of the card, and since I saw the line of the add on of background paper decided to cut one of the other cherry blossom stamps and place over the line. I love dimension and layers so I stamped another branch of the cherry blossoms and cut out three of the flowers, fussy-cut and adhered with 3d thin foam tape.

The inside of the card was bordered with a piece left over from my personalized gel print background and another one of the florals in the bottom corner.  Also cut a piece of that same flowers and adhered with 3d thin foam tape for dimension.

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble Challenge #141 "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" and check out the Design Teams inspiration using Twisted Sister's Optional twist to create a Slimline card. And don't forget to combine with any of our previous partners and get an additional chance for our random draw prize for each partner you shared your project.

Cheer

This is my card for Day 6 at the 2022 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop.

Had seen a couple cards with Brentwood in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and went to Jessica Lynn Original Studios to get the image... pleasant surprise, a freebie offered during the Blog Hop so you still have time to download, rcreat and add to your stock SVG fles.  Found a great sketch to display Brentwood with the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #583.

Brentwood is such a great image for a masculine card. Keeping that in mind I went to my stash for complementary patterned papers that Brentwood would enjoy. Cut the required rectangles for the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch.

Using white cardstock I copied and pasted svg Brentwood image four times and printed. Cut and colored the base layer in full, colored the full cup w/mashmallows, cup only and some of bells from each other printed image. These pieces were all fussy-cut and layered and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  All panels were framed with a thin border of New England Ivy and then placed and adhered on card base.

For the little embellishment in the corner of the sentiment panel I decided to use more jingle bells, with some foliage and a red bow which finished off the sketch.  Brentwood makes me happy and he looks quite pleased with his colors.

Don't forget Thing 1 (me) is asking you to join us at Double Trouble in participation with the 2022 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  I'm getting the JITTERS FOR JAVA which MOCHA me crazy.  So get started... rise and GRIND, throw on a TEAshirt and sweats, grab a CUPPA your favorite and don't be LATTE.  Enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration, hop along, stay GROUNDED and no ProCAFFEINATING.

Hope to see you at Double Trouble and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.
