GingerBread House - Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season"

Our partner for this challenge is Bitten By The Bug 2 and even though they usually require the inclusion of a cut from a Cricut, we CUT a holiday Die'al with them to be able to use dies from cutter machines.  However, I uncovered my Cricut and uploaded a SVG file from Dreaming Tree, a GingerBread tree ornament, for the Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season" project.

Did not use the cut for a tea light ornament and decided to add a couple "Girl and Boy" Gingerbread images instead.  And of course the colors you choose for your ornament are entirely up to you; so I chose to primarily use non-traditional colors to meet the challenge at ColorMyHeart Color Dare.

Christmas is Love with All the Trimmings - Color Dare #423 2020 Linky Holiday Party "Traditional Colors"

This is my Design Team card for our 2020 Holiday Linky Party Color Dare #423 "Traditional Colors".

My Christmas cards this year were all gnomes.  Since my gnomes are all cut and colored... all I needed to do was put a background together and add a sentiment.  In my stash I had a negative circle cut in the floral design paper and decided to use that as a window card. Selected and added the gnome with 3D thin foam tape with the Christmas lights hung out the window.  Sentiment was stamped on French Vanilla cardstock with black ink, layered with black and adhered in bottom corner with thin foam tape.

My Christmas cards this year are gnomes.  To see my collection click HERE

My Gnome Christmas for 2020

My daughter and I got together at their Cabin summer home at the end of October for three days wherein the backgrounds were created, a few colored gnomes, and assembled nine completely. My goal was to get a good start on my Christmas cards using the Christmas Gnomes and the beautiful CTMH "Comfort and Joy" paperpack.  However, it stretched out to December even when I had spent time weekly on our Our Little Crop Group Zoom in getting the balance of these cards done... and I'm still not done.

Now for the personal part... the inside sentiment and personal notes, and filling out the envelopes.  Now I'm in a time crunch and will have to complete at our next Zoom this weekend so they get out early enough for timely mailing.

No card should be identical... If you see anything identical let me know... and you deserve a little gift for the first one that finds a duplicate.

You Are Too Cool - Double Trouble Challenge #73 with Bitten by the Bug 2

Here is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #73 "A Die-lirious Holiday Season" and partnering with Bitten By a Bug 2.  Thing 1 Trouble Maker (Me) asks you to select a favorite tool to create a Holiday project. My selection was the Cuttlebug for which I selected my new CTMH Waterfall Thin Cut... sooooo much easier than cutting and scoring a written tutorial for your waterfall.

Then the fun began... selection of stamps for the waterfall. In my stash there were a couple penguins previously colored last year in a Copic class and never completed as a card.  These were perfect for a Holiday waterfall card, along with a cute walrus and a sentiment with snowflakes.

One of the penguin stamps had snow already drawn in the image so to carry down the snow on the waterfall I used a Copic black multi-liner pen, drew the circles in each of the panels and added a touch of glacier ink in each. The abundance of snow falling created a couple of snowmen and sentiment sending snowman kisses on the tag.   Thing 3 Twisted Sister had an optional twist to "Tie it Up" or "Wrap It Up".  I chose to Tie It Up and put a polka-dot bow in the hole of the tab... which bows are quite a task for me, not in my comfort zone.

I was happy with my Bow and whimsical card... hope you were too.

Please go to Double Trouble for the detail of the challenge and enjoy the Things and Sneetches inspiration for this fun Challenge.

Choose your favorite die or cutting tool and create a project for the Holidays.  Additional challenge use Twisted Sister's optional twist "Tie It Up" or "Wrap It Up".

Our partner for this challenge is "Bitten By the Bug 2" which have given us a "Die'al to use any die or cutting tool.

This challenge is open from December 7th, 2020 to January 3rd, 2021

In addition to the random draw prize, we will pick a favorite in each of 4 categories and you will receive a Gift Card. To qualify, you must identify in your post what machine or tool you used for your project... don't keep us guessing

The Most Wondeful Time of the Year - 2020 Holiday Linky Party Color Dare #424 "Non-traditional Colors"

This is one of my Design Team cards for our 2020 Holiday Linky Party Challenge.  This one is for our Challenge #424 "Non-Traditional" colors.  I love all the colors in the CTMH "Serenity" paperpack but decided on using a brown neutral Buffalo plaid for my stitched frame that I had die cut for a previous project and rather than loosing it to my stash decided to use it for my pink Poinsettia.

The poinsettia was stamped with "cotton candy" ink, a very old retired product, thin cut and adhered to top corner of the background.  Small leaves were fussy-cut from one of the other design papers, a pink berry twig stamped with cotton candy and a sentiment stamped with Toffee ink.  These were all placed on background and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  For a little Christmas bling a gold gem was added in the middle of the flower.
