Happy Birthday - Double Trouble #158 SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing

This card is my Design Team card for Double Trouble "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" (aka AG) including Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist in celebration of National Kazoo Day to use something musical.   Thing 2 Double Dare wanted us to share with one of our previous partnering challenges and I chose to use ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #584

I often look for a sketch challenge to help me with layouts and I chose the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #562 because the landscape orientation was perfect for my Happy Birthday note die.

I chose a striped paper for my musical note of Happy Birthday and adhered it to a Blue background that appeared like waves. Stamped, colored and die cut the little fishies and adhered with thin 3D foam tape.  Added some glitter bubbles  and lliquid glass over them and on the bubbles on the fishes' foreheads.  On the inside a strip of blue panel and the wave patterned paper on the border.

Color Dare #584 Six Pack

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #584 "Six Pack" and it was combined with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #560.  These were the colors in the CTMH paperpack "Let's Party" and I selected one of papers using all colors.

Well, again I started cutting pieces to follow the sketch and of course more than I needed. Then played with the many pieces until pleased with the combination of patterned papers.  There were enough left over pieces so I created a second card using a different focal point.

Please hop on over and join us at Color Dare's Color Board #560 check out the Design Teams inspiration, and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there.  There's still time to join AHSC too if you need a sketch and see how easy it might be to combine challenges.

Double Trouble #157 with FarmQuest

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble "Wintry Country Feeling" using the technique for embossing and/or stenciling and Twisted Sister's optional twist to include a hat.  Our collaborating challenge for this challenge is Farm Quest #44 "Winter Sports".

The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #559 and ColorMyHeart Color Dare's  Challenge #583 "Fancy Five" were my inspiration for my Wintry Country Feeling.

On white cardstock using Sea Glass Ink (for the light shade of Sage) stenciled snowflakes and added a border.  Cut and adhered three stitched strips in the middle of the background

The image was masked using four of the stamps  (bear and bear arm, penguin and sled from the CTMH Stamp set #C1764 "Got Snow".  Image was colored with Copic Sketch brush pens, background stamped with snow fluries and snowflakes, cut to size of panel in sketch, sentiment added, bordered and adhered to stenciled background with 3D thin foram tape.

The inside of card was stamped with an assortment of snow fluries and snowflakes on the right hand border.

Color Dare #582 - Triple Play

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #582 "Triple Play"

This was not an easy color board for me to create a project.  I went in all directions and had no idea what to select to use all three colors... so walked away, came back and started going through my stamps and die cuts again for inspiration. I was disappointed in my inventory of patterned papers because it was very limited with a combo of these colors so decided on a patterned paper in neutral to soften the bold colors, bordered with Bluebird cardstock and adhered to card base, at least that was a start.

After a couple more attemps finally selected this butterfly (naturally in all three colors), then went with several triple cuts of flowers and leaves and what wasn't used went in my stash, maybe for another time. Here are my final cuts using primarily cardstock for the three must use colors.  Some of the cuts were raised with 3D thin foam tape for dimension and others adhered direct to card stock with some of the leaves and butterfly wings lifted and curled up.

Double Trouble #156 using TSOT Sketch #638

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble #156 "Background Personality" wherein the requirement is to create a project to show your personality through two background choices... one for an introvert and the other for an extrovert.  I tend to lean toward an introvert; but when it comes to cardmaking I chose to come out of my comfort zone and bring out my extrovert personality."  And what fun it was to join in with our collaborating partners and new owners at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #638.

1st Card:  When I was looking through my stash for shapes for the vocal point I found this pretty leaf die which had never been used.  Using a bold bright patterned paper was the first cut which also created a negative die cut.  The leaf die also had a background die, cut one using white cardstock to adhere the leaf image and 2 more in black cardstock to create the second square under the vocal point.

On the opposite side of the patterned paper there was another very bold bright floral patterned paper which was cut for my background. Background was adhered to card base and the leaf image was adhered to the background with 3D thin foam tape for dimension. Completed card with a sentiment stamped with three colors, cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

2nd Card:  Here is the card I made with the negative die cut that was used for the leaf image cut.  I was going to use it on the inside of the card but then decided it would make another card using the TSOT sketch a second time.  Background paper was layered with black cardstock and then adhered to the white card base. For the second square using black cardstock cut a square stitched frame and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  The same sentiment stamped in black ink directly to the background.

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble to check out the Design Teams inspiration, and then let us see what "Background Personality" choice you used. You may also like to hop over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday to see their Design Team members inspiration and see how fun and easy it was to combine challenges... hope to see you at both challenges.
