Color Dare #494 - 6-Pack

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #494 "Six Pack" choosing at least three of the colors from the Color Palette and using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #553.  Colors I chose: Cinnamon, Sundance, Toffee + Rosemary.

I had Cut several floral dies in different colors and two backgrounds because I couldn't decide which one to use.  After making my first card, and there being enough cut left overs, decided to use them for another card using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #470.

Happy Birthday - Double Trouble Challenge #108 "Frame It" partnering with Dies R Us "Spring/Flowers

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble #108 "Frame It"  using  Twisted Sister's optional twist to "include flowers and/or butterflies" and sharing with our partner at Dies R Us # 191 "Spring/Flowers" theme.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #469 came through with just the sketch I needed to fulfil the Double Trouble "Frame It" challenge.  The frame was made with a blended blue patterned paper with a stitched die and adhered to card base. Another frame with scalloped stitched circles was cut using a pretty small floral patterned paper given to me by a friend at least 3-4 years ago for a special project.  That project never materialized and I'm glad I found this paper in my stash for another special project.

Well, the card base and background cuts were the easy part. My butterfly dies, stamps, patterned paper cuts were cut and my choices were not working for me. Going through my butterfly dies I found a die that was a flair of different size butterflies.  A number of different butterfly dies, and/or stamp dies were cut using patterned papers, vellum and cardstock... none of them came together.

Went back to my butterfly dies and found this one butterfly flair die which had variable size butterflies, cut using a patterned paper from "You Are Enough" CTMH paperpack, perfect.  Separated the butterflies from the flair and cut one more flair using the back of the patterned paper for a shadow, adhered direct to the background and added the patterned paper cuts using 3D thin foam tape for dimension and curled the wings of the butterfly. Used a couple of the flairs for a butterfly trail.  Sentiment "Happy Birthday" was stamped in the center circle.

Hugs - Color Dare #492 - TicTacToe

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #492 "TicTacToe" and combining it with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #468. Please join us at Color Dare and choose your TicTacToe preference... my selection is Column 1 "Lagoon, Sundance, Lemonade" + Avocado.

Gifted to me was a Stampin' Up Sunburst die which had not yet been used and the AHSC sketch was perfect for this die.  Lemonade cardstock was used for the sunburst cut and layered with Lagoon cardstock for the sky.

The circular panel on the sketch was created using some sticker flowers from the CTMH In Bloom paperpack, re-colored with a copic marker (closest and excellent match to the Sundance cardstock) and adhered using 3D thin foam tape on some of the flowers. The leaves on the flower stickers were already a soft Avocado color. Glitter pen was used on the full card to give the card a more textured look than cardstock only. The sentiment die "hugs" was cut with Sundance cardstock and adhered direct to background.

Happy Easter - Double Trouble Challenge #107 "Build a Scene"

Here is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #107 "KISS - Create a Scene" using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #467.  If you include Twisted Sister's optional twist you can also enter your card in Cupcake Inspirations #541 "Bunnies".  The bunny stamp already had a good portion of a scene and all it needed was to enhance the green grass and add a blue sky with whisp of clouds.  The scene panel was cut partially so that the bunny was over the edge instead of adding flowers as in the sketch.

The background is one of my favorite plaids and I always like the combination of polka-dots.  Sentiment was added at the same angle as the scene.

Especially For You - Color Dare #490 "Browns + 1 Color"

Here is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge 490 "Browns + 1 Color" of your choice. I had seen this card in My Favorite Things Facebook Group and thought the correct link to the card had been copied. Wrong, however I also made a photo of the beautiful card to use as a sketch and searched for Carla Tee Minner's blog.

Even though the colors for this challenge weren't as colorful I've been a fan of brown and pink going back to one of my childhood favorite dresses.

First to find a flower size that would work with this layout... made several cuts of various size flowers but the one chosen was larger than the MFT die... as I was cutting the die in Chocolate cardstock it changed the flow of the flowers to the bottom. Next layered French Vanilla cardstock behind the chocolate, added another layer with Ballerina cardstock and then adhered to card base.

Used the negative center of the chocolate flowers and adhered to the center of the white flow of flowers.  Several cuts were made with the same flower using Ballerina cardstock, placed and adhered with glue among the white flower negatives using the chocolate background paper to fill the center.  Scattered a few Ballerina centers among the flowers.  I'd usually use 3D thin foam tape to adhere the flowers; but because of the middle cut of the flower decided to glue instead.  The sentiment was cut using Ballerina for the frame and Chocolate for the Sentiment.

On the inside of the card made a border of Ballerina and used some of the brown flower cuts adhered to the border.

Color Dare challenges are carried forward for two weeks so if you didn't share a project for this Inspiration Photo challenge you still have another week to enter.
Both challenges are on the side bar of the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog. Please check out Design Team Cards and other entrants to give you inspiration and join us for future fun color challenges.  Hope to see you there.
