Welcome Baby - Double Trouble Challenge #45 Something, Anything, Everything

This is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #45 "Something, Anything, Everything" using the Twisted Sister's optional twist of "Something New". I decided to go with a new 5 x 7 Box Die, a Christmas gift from my daughter, and included the second optional twist of "New Baby".

This is a 5 x 7 box card which has an array of several items hidden; but when pulled open it creates a dimensional box full of baby items. Started out using die cuts from Cricut since I didn't have any stamps or dies of baby items.

Since we were doing a family weekend at my son and son-in-law's cabin I was restricted for time on my Cricut and asked my daughter if she had any stamps and/or dies on baby items that could be borrowed. She did...and can you believe it, this adorable set had not been used yet, and no longer available because they have gone out of business. So my Cuttabug made our trip to the Cabin, along with a few items to finish my card.

The morning before breakfast, started to cut some of the cute dies; but my son had other plans for me...curtains. Sooo, my project will have to wait until we get back home.

Still another delay because we decided, upon return home, to pick up our new adopted kitty (Cleo); however, she was an adorable distraction throughout the rest of the day so wasn't able to finish my project until 11:30 Sunday evening, and just completed my post this morning.

Here are additional photos that open up to the pop of all the baby items used for the box.  Let me know what you see.

Please join us at Double Trouble for this fun challenge "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing"

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "It's time again to grab your bone folder and other stuff, and create something new. We think this is easier than folding a fitted sheet! It's time to use the 'stuff' you have in your stash (new and/or old)."

You can stop here...
OR, you can choose to include Twisted Sister's Optional Twist below to earn additional chances at our random draw.

THING 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Out with the old! In with the NEW!  Use a new crafting item you either found under the tree, in your stocking or a fairly new item you purchased but have not used, and don't forget to let us know what it was you used;
OR create a project about something new - New Year, new baby, etc.

This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble's random draw if you include either of these twists in your project.

THING 2: Double Trouble
dares you to multiply the fun and link up your project with any of our previous partner(s) listed below for extra chances to our Random Draw. Make sure you read their guidelines carefully and observe their dates. We don't want you to get into Trouble with them.

This means: each time you link to a previous partner with the same card, you gain an additional chance for each partner challenge you entered. Please make sure you identify them in your blog along with our Double Trouble link.

My Share with Previous Partnering Challenges:  Sharing with a previous partner was a real challenge due to the holiday and the only previous partnering challenge was 2CraftyCritterCrazies; but they had closed before our challenge went live. I will try at the The Crafter's Café even though there were no noticeable C's in the project I did have "I spy with a little eye something starting with C" (Cheek on elephant, Circles on Balloon and maybe the "c" in Welcome).  Let me know if you C more than I C with your little eye.

Holly Jolly - Elf Christmas Cards

These cards were made from the CTMH Christmas Cardmaking Workshop which included 16 card bases and envelopes, instructions for the cuts made for the layouts using the Holly Jolly designs papers and stamp set which were also included. Some of the layouts were modified but all the cuts were used as in the manual and with additional cuts was able to make 20 cards.

Several gift and signs were stamped on white cardstock, cut using the Brother Scan & Cut and colored with Copics. Used the thin cut for the Eft and then stamped, colored, adhered with think foam tape to the background created and then layered the signs or gifts with thin foam tape for additional dimension.

My first Elf card was made for the Coffee Lover's Fall and Winter Blog Hop back in November (Click HERE); but just this past week completed the other 20 for my Christmas mailings. I started addressing and mailing them before taking photos so these are just the last few cards made from this bundle. This was a fun project.

Let It Snow & Warm Winter Wishes

Here are more of the Arizona Sunshine "Warm Winter Wishes" but in portrait and in a variety of colors.

Snowman and cactus were stamped in Black, cut with my Brother Scan and Cut, and colored with Copic Sketch Brush Pens in a variety of colors. Changing to portrait, stamped a sentiment across the bottom of my card base, added a design paper frame and adhered the snowman, cactus and a die-cut sun with 3D thin and regular foam tape. Easy and fast layout; but the coloring was very time consuming. Made eight more of these cards but put in mail before a photo was taken.

Double Trouble Challenge #45 partners with Color Dare #374

This is my second card for our Double Trouble Challenge #45 and partnering with ColorMyHeart Color Dare #374.

Back awhile ago at our local Little Crop Group gatherings we have many background papers...don't remember which technique this was; however, I do know the techniques were very messy (shaving cream or jel press). I have had these in my stash for a long time and periodically go through them...this one intrigued me. Three Colors were added to a printed magazine page (red, yellow and green) which met the requirement of Color Dare and perfect for my dragonfly border die which was purchased some time ago.

The dragonfly was cut from my background technique, adhered to black cardstock and then fussy-cut around the die cut image. Double Trouble's requirement was to use a stripe and if you chose to use a black and white you are awarded another chance for their random draw. No sentiment was added because I felt the note inside would determine the occasion it was made for.

Please visit Color Dare and Double Trouble and see DT members' inspiration, along with other participants who have entered these challenges and join us in this fun color challenge. This partnering challenge is open from Friday, December 13th through December 29th.

Warm Winter Wishes

Time is closing in on getting my Christmas cards out and I'm just beginning to make them even though at the beginning of the year my intent was to do one Christmas card a week.  Have just completed 10 of my cards for friends and family back East wishing them Warm Winter Wishes from Arizona.  Whimsy had the cutest snowman melting which seemed so appropriate to combine with an Arizona stamp set from a local vendor.

Snowman and cactus were stamped in Black, cut with my Brother Scan and Cut, and colored with Copic Sketch Brush Pens in a variety of colors.  Stamped a sentiment across the bottom of my card base, added a design paper frame and adhered the snowman and cactus with 3D thin and regular foam tape.  Easy and fast layout; but the coloring was very time consuming; however they are so cute may do another 10,  have them cut just not  yet colored.

Double Trouble Challenge #45 partnering with Color Dare #373

This is a very special challenge for me because my two favorite challenges are partnering for the next couple of weeks...Color Dare Challenge #373 and #374 and Double Trouble #45 using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #406.

Color Dare asks that you use Black and White and (3) colors of your choice.  And then Double Trouble threw in "Earn Your Stripes". You can use any color stripe; however, if you use a black and white stripe you get an additional chance for the draw.  I went all out with my stripes...the yellow was my initial stripe; but out of the box stripes were my black and white background patterned paper, and the cactus design stripes which I thought was pretty clever.  My choice of colors were green, red and yellow.

Please visit Color Dare and Double Trouble and see DT members' inspiration, along with other participants who have entered these challenges and join us in this fun color challenge. This partnering challenge starts on Friday, December 13th through December 29th

Don't forget Color My Heart Color Dare challenges are carried forward for two weeks, so please join us and check out our previous Challenge #372 Inspiration Board.

Cheer - Color Dare #372

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #372 "TicTacToe", using the theme at Heart2Heart Challenge "Evergreen".  Since I was using Evergreen my decision for the background paper was used because it had most of the colors in the Color Board which would give me a good start on a TicTacToe selection for both Row 1 and 2.  Aside from some time spend on the piecing of the Evergreen Trees this card was fairly quick to complete. 3D thin foam tape was used on the trees and deer for dimension.
