I'm a Lucky Ducky - Double Trouble Challenge #18

Whoopee!  There are five Mondays in December...that means it's time for our "Something, Anything and Everything", a one-week challenge at Double Trouble using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #297 which was the perfect layout for our #18 Challenge. Maybe you want to celebrate National Bird Week in the US.A. and do the optional twist to include a bird or something related to a bird.

And/or if you have created a project that is any of our previous partnered challenges and it fits our challenge you can earn additional chances to our random draw but you must identify them in your post next to our challenge link.

My card started with one of my favorite paper packs for whimsical cards CTMH "Magical".  Selected three of the design papers, cut one as a rectangle, second as a square, third the background rectangle cut for an A2 card and layered each with Cranberry cardstock.  One of the design papers also had heart shapes, the stamp a cute duck holding a heart and heart embellishments.  I think I'm all shaped up.

My image was colored with Copic sketch pens, liquid glue used on the beak and feet, little beads for the eyes and adhered to the heart background with 3D foam tape.  Sentiment stamped on white cardstock, layered with cranberry cardstock and adhered to same heart panel.

Happy Birthday "Stargazer" - H2H Dec Week 4

This is my last project as a Design Team member for Heart2Heart "Wish Upon a Star" using the Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch No. 388 and making a Birthday card from the retired CTMH Stargazer paperpack.  But I will definitely be using themes from Heart2Heart for future projects, but my concentration will be on my Blog Challenge "Double Trouble" (See below for inspiration on how I turned this into two other challenge entries for Double Dare's Challenge #17 with ColorMyHeart Color Dare #322.

Cut the different panels and layered with the design paper background and adhered to the background.  Fussy-cut the rocket and Rocketeer and added to the square frame with 3D thin and regular foam tape.  Used one of the zip strips and stamped on the Birthday sentiment and adhered to the bottom of the square frame.  For my embellishments added liquid glass over the planets on the design paper and on the Rocketeers head globe and added shimmer to the rocket exhaust flame.

DOUBLE TROUBLE's concept is to partner with different Challenges to share entrants from one Challenge to another, with some twists.  Double Trouble's challenge is a 3-2-1 Anytime Recipe, theme for any occasion, using Ingredients "3-Embellishments, 2-Colors, 1-Sentiment or Image" at least or more; and if you use the theme at ColorMyHeart Color Dare of "Soft & Pastel" or "Bold and Bright" you will probably be able to submit to two additional challenges.  This card I made was for the "Bold & Bright".  Please check to see if your card meets this requirement and visit us at Double Trouble Challenge #18 for additional detail and to post your project.

Double Trouble Challenge #17 - 3,2,1 Anything Recipe and Special Topping "Soft & Pastel" with Color Dare

This is my Double Trouble Challenge #17 using the "3-2-1 Anytime Recipe" with ingredients of 3 Embellishments, 2 Colors and 1 Sentiment, or more, and the Special Topping at ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Soft and Pastel".

Look what I picked up at our local scrapbook store "Newton's Donut" Stamp set...knew immediately what I was going to do with this.  Stamped two images, colored the full image and the paws of the other image and layered with 3D thin foam tape.  Cut the large oval for the background of Newton, and a small one for the sentiment.

My personalized background was stamped with the sprinkles in a variety of pastel CTMH inks which were used on the donut, and adhered to a scalloped frame.  Newton was was quite happy to be placed in the center of all the sprinkles and sentiment added at bottom with the three bitty sparkle embellishments need to complete my Anytime Recipe.

I Really Did Try - Double Trouble Challenge #17

This is my Double Trouble Challenge #17 using the "3-2-1 Anytime Recipe" with ingredients of 3 Embellishments, 2 Colors and 1 Sentiment, or more, and the Special Topping at ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Bold & Bright" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #295, and it also seemed very similar, maybe out of the box, but a good match up with Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #388 with optional "Celebrate".

One of my Grandma's favorite cookie recipes at Christmas time was Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips.  We always left a plate for Santa, and they were gone the next morning so they might have been his favorite too.  For my focal point I had the perfect stamp set from Little Acres Creations...masked the Dear Santa and plate of cookies, added the Santa note, colored with variety of Copic Sketch Brushes, fussy-cut the frame, layered with red frame and foam and added three embellishments and sentiment.  Background paper was chosen for the peppermint look along with another panel of bold red and zip strip added at bottom of card.

Shaker Card - H2H - Dec Week 2

This is my Design Team Card for Heart2Heart "Shaker Card" and the stamp set was very flexible in making any scene you wanted. However, I chose to use the frame with the large tree, birds, bunny, small fir trees, hill and sprigs and there were many more elements that I didn't use. The scenery was colored using Chameleon pencils in a variety of colors.  There was a snow globe embossing folder that came with the stamp set which was embossed on  design paper and destroyed while cutting.  Thus went to my stash and used this snowflake swirls embossing folder, used sandpaper to distress and placed a stitched die in the middle of the embossed  panel to cut out the window. It wasn't as pretty as the snow globe, but I was happy with it.

Hop on by this week's Heart2Heart theme to see inspirations from Design Team members. Heart2Heart invites you to showcase your favorite project...you have until the end of the month to create and submit. Earn a Perfect Attendance Badge if you create a card for each weekly theme during that month...to view these challenges they are listed on the sidebar at the top of the Heart2Heart Blog.
