Thinking of You - Color Dare #312

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #312 TicTacToe combined with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #283.  When a TicTacToe comes around I almost always select the full board so that I can use all the decorative design papers that never match up with a 3-color palette. The background paper is one of my favorites from "Boutique" and the other two panels...one is a PML card, the other the floral design paper. Chose to fussy-cut several flowers from the same paper to layer over the Sentiment banner using 3D thin foam tape for dimension and completed with scattering some beads.

You Are Always In My Heart - Color Dare #311

This is my Design Team project with ColorMyHeart Color Dare #311 combined with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #282.  There was such a variance of bright and pastel colors in the palette I wasn't sure how to bring them together...however, using a combination of both the lighter and darker sides of the cardstock, outlining the hearts with peacock and breaking up the saffron heart with the smaller pink heart...believe it was accomplished.  Used charcoal instead of black for the sentiment again to keep the softness of the colors.

Happy Birthday To You - H2H W3 "Ribbon"

This is my Design Team project for Heart2Heart Product Challenge "Ribbon" using a design found on Pinterest  by Stacy Cohen, but errored to site.  So, I pulled out some Adhesive Ribbon bought a couple years ago and chose three colors and designs that went well together, cut several 2 1/2" strips and adhered them to the center of the cardstock.  Cut two pieces, 1 1/4" and 1 1/2", border dies and adhered to the ribbon cardstock with 3D thin Foam tape.  Cut three sentiments, two colors, and layered and adhered to the the bottom of the card.  Placed some sequins and done...not a difficult card to make and a very pretty card with the right choices.  

Added a border of one of the ribbons across the bottom of the inside of the card.

Squirr-all Gonna Miss You - Double Trouble Challenge #10

This is my project for Double Trouble using at least three colors and a stamped image and of course Twisted Sister wants us to get Wild and Silly, add a critter and include a punny saying relative to the critter...how much pun fun is that.  Because I included a critter I am also able to submit this to Brown Sugar Challenge #282 All Creatures Great and Small and you don't need to be punny.  The back side of the card is white daisy and can be used for the many signatures and good wishes from fellow employees.  When I saw a Fold Card on Three Amigos BlogHop Challenge #18 I asked if a tutorial was available and the Design Team Member provided one, thus used it on my Double Trouble Design Team project.

You Are Top KOALA-ty - Color Dare #310

My Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #310 was combined with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #281 using primarily cardstock, dies and stamp.  Followed the sketch with lots of layering using the colors in the challenge, stamped the Koala, some coloring and added liquid glass to his eyes, nose and feet.

MY HISTORY IN COLOR DARE:  In late 2014 Atlantic Hearts was a sketch challenge that my daughter talked me into participating in.  Being new I needed more help with color and theme...so found my color challenge at ColorMyHeart Color Dare, and my theme challenge at Heart2Heart.  So many of my cards satisfied all three challenges and faithfully participated weekly for well over a year.  It wasn't until January of 2015 that Marie Flayer invited me to be a Design Team Member of Color Dare...there was hesitation but Marie was quite convincing, I could do this and I'm still hanging in with the hope that our challenges will again have more participation.  Stampin' Up and all the other color competitors, if you're reading this, let's show some tough competition and join our challenge. 

In March 2015 I won my second Diamond and it was one of my favorite cards I ever created, a black, white and grey color challenge a humming bird made with cricut cuts, ...well maybe there are a couple more.

Happy Retirement - Color Dare #309

This is my ColorMyHeart Color Dare #309 DT project using all the colors in the Twisted TicTacToe for CTMH retired colors.  I really had a hard time choosing only (3) favorites because I truly love them all.  I have made several box cards but used the tutorial on You Tube "Card in a Box" by Anna Kennedy Juda for this particular card.
