Happy Birthday - Color Day #371

This is my DT project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare Inspiration Board using the two m&m colors of my choice, Yellow and Red. This Thanksgiving week we rented a cabin in Strawberry Arizona and celebrating some birthdays too.

Started out with The Cutting Cafe's treat cake box and cut on Cricut.  These boxes cut and score perfectly and so easy to put together...a fun project.  Since there were eight of us I was able to make a full cake with these boxes.  Cut polka-dot design paper for top and one side of each box and adhered to box cut.

The m&m's were an image from the network, re-sized, printed and perfectly cut with my Brother Scan and Cut...thoroughly pleased that I didn't have to fussy-cut them...what a time saver.  While box was still flat, each m&m was adhered with foam tape to raise, adhered to  top and side and added liquid glass for shine and more dimension. This was more time consuming then getting all the boxes put together.

Boxes were then folded on score lines and put together with 2-sided tape.  Cricut Design Space was used to create each of the letters for our names and the Happy Birthday from red Glitter Paper.  For the bottom of each box using white Glitter tape a scalloped die was used.

The boxes were filled with a Hostess Cupcake and m&m's. There are three Birthday Celebrations and in each of those boxes was an additional gift of money at the bottom of the box which would not be found until the treats were eaten...which I anticipate that won't take long.

2020 Calendar - The Cutting Cafe

Creative Creases has Memorial Weekend Extravaganza for "Anything Goes with a Fun Fold" and has waived the backlinking for this challenge.  Sure saves a lot of time in creating over this Weekend and still be able to show one of your favorite past creations.

05/28/21 Resubmitted to:

This is my project for The Cutting CafĂ© "2020 Calendar".  I didn't want to hide the beautiful floral background so I used some butterfly dies that were quite open.  However, because I'm addicted to layers, I got a little crazy and decided there should be a couple flowers in the corner and added a gem in the center.  And then...why not another butterfly on the window of the calendar since it didn't hide the vision.  The box was made with another coordinate design paper to hold a pen/pencil.

Added a window to the front of the calendar holder, flipped to the side, adhered holder closer to left-side to allow room for a floral tab for each of the months using the smallest of the same floral. The calendars were printed on Vellum and adhered to the frame of each month. Using the same sizing as the calendar I created a backside to record events for the month and adhered to the back of the month calendar. Added a little bling to the window frame.

On the back side of the Holder...another design paper was used to adhere the 2020 Holiday Schedule and another butterfly to match the one in the front left-hand corner.

Happy Holidays - Double Trouble Challenge #43

This is my DT project for Double Trouble #43 "Bring on the Glitz" and including Twisted Sister's optional Twist to "include a snow person" and then share it with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 483 "Snowmen's theme challenge", starting November 18th through December 1st.

The whole card was made with Glitz and Glitter paper and embellishments except for the sentiment and card base. The photo doesn't do it justice but the sun shining through my office window gives it quite a sparkle.

Please join us at Double Trouble Challenge #43 and have fun while singing along with Frosty the Snowman.

Retirement - Color Dare #369

This is my DT card for the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #369 using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #342.

This Board gave me many choices...however finally decided TicTacToe Column 3 "Toffee, Glacier, Espresso" for an excellent combination for a masculine retirement card.  Chose a focal point of a sea vessel and how cool would that be for retirement...sailing out to sea.  I've had the wood grain embossing dies for awhile, thought this would be a good background for my focal point, brushed on some glacier to bring out the woodgrain, layered and adhered some with 3D thin foam tape.  The ship was added to a stitched die using expresso cardstock, added another scalloped frame in glacier and both adhered with 3D foam tape.  Die cut the sentiment and glued in bottom right-hand corner.

Hello Pumpkin - Color Dare #368 and Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Exciting Change at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop ... The seasonal Blog Hop is moving to an "Anything Goes" theme, however, you still need to include some sort of coffee, tea, cocoa or cider element or sentiment. How simple is that?

There are many super sponsors and there are no limits to the number of projects you enter. The more entries the better your chances for winning Coffee Lovers' random draw prizes. Click HERE to see the variety of sponsors and the gifts they are donating, and don't forget to look for Blog Candy along the way.

Day 8 - A.M. - 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
(CLBH #1095)

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #368 "Inspirational Board".  Cut three die cuts of the pumpkin and vine (Chocolate, New England Ivy and Orange), cut and pieced the green leaves in between the orange and chocolate pumpkins.  Tried several design papers for the background and the purple just struck me as being an excellent contrast and brought in the grape color from the inspirational board.  And what goes with Pumpkin, you said it, Pumpkin Spice Latte or Coffee To Go please.  Sentiment was stamped with chocolate ink on Kraft paper and layered with the same design paper as the pumpkins.

Don't forget to head back to Double Trouble's Challenge #42 "You Have Us in Stitches" to earn extra chances for our Blog Candy (give-aways). Although Double Trouble is not a sponsor in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, we are giving away Blog Candy in addition to our usual random draw prize.
