DTC #152 - Participating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 1

Join us at Double Trouble Challeng #152 "DeJa-BREW" and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. This card was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #549... perfect for a fun fold.  Almost forgot my pun for Twisted Sister's optional twist... wasn't sure how I was going to get that in without a re-make or new card, but with the help of Thing 2 Double Dare she suggested Cool Beans... so a sign on the snowman to-go-cup was hand-drawn and adhered with thin 3D tape. Phew, that wasn't hard.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 1.  AND I have some blog candy for you today! Be sure to comment on Double Trouble Challenge post HERE and win a prize from me!

This was a fun card to put together in meeting all the requirements of the three challenges.  These design papers were a gift as winner of the August BYSHC Challenge #36 and I will be using more papers in future Christmas cards.

When opening card on L-H side there is another sentiment and a Holly to meet the requirement at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23.

Opening on the R-H side there is a Penquin holding another sentiment leaving some room for signature on bottom.  Turn to the back of the card and you have plenty of space for a personal message to your recipient.

Hope to see you at Double Trouble "DeJa-BREW" and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your coffee themed project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.

All our Team Members at Double Trouble have BLOG CANDY!  We hope you'll visit each member's individual blog, view the prize, and leave a comment - BUT - this will not qualify you for the prizes. After viewing each individual blog, go back to the Double Trouble Blog and leave a comment. From those comments, we will randomly select the names of Blog Candy recipients. Please join in the fun. Be sure to comment on Double Trouble Challenge post HERE and win a prize from me!  Here is a photo of my Blog Candy giveaway.

And don't forget the perk at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23 if you have created a Christmas coffee theme card and have included a holly.

Hello Friend - Color Dare #504 "Four Square" Color Board

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Four Square" Color Board and using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #480. This was a fun card to create... The July 4th Holiday weekend was spent at the cabin with my daughter and we did a little scrapping. I always enjoy creating with her and think I get a card done faster because of sharing ideas... plus she has some pretty cute stamp sets and of course her Copics are always traveling with her.

The Playful Pups stamps were all adorable but picked the bassett hounddog with the long ears, and was lucky that neutrals were included in the color challenge for my pup Ralph (Lisa named him).  Stamped three images of Ralph, colored and fussy-cut each where required for layering and dimension.

All the other accessories were included in this stamp set and chose the rug and doggy bed for Ralph to settle into.  Ralph wanted a colorful plaid bed with the rug under it for his comfort and his toys.  He chose colors closest to Sapphire, Evergreen and Sundance for his plaid... so out came my Copics and a plaid was born. Ralph liked his plaid bed so much he insisted on a tie to match and the dish of food for his friend.

I didn't have any patterned paper with me so I chose cardstock closest to the colors and glued the diagonal panels to the card base. In Lisa's supplies she had some stitched die frames, chose the stitched scallop a perfect fit for Ralph. Still needed something... so why not add a strip of the same plaid to cover the two diagonal panels... perfect.    Sentiment added from another stamp set and done.

It's Your Day - Double Trouble Challenge #59 "Masculine"

Here is my Design Team project for Double Trouble Challenge #59 "Masculine card" and adding Twisted Sister's optional "something round" and sharing with our partner for this challenge at Use Your Stuff "Masculine or Father's Day".

The green plaid design paper reminds me of a pair of golf shorts my husband wears quite frequently when golfing.  So, it was perfect for a Father's Day, Birthday Card or any occasion masculine card.  My husband is quite a golfing enthusiast so this card is made for him; but still pretty enough to use for a female as well.

For Twisted Sister's "something round" the Cricut golf ball was used for the letter "O" in GOLF with the other letters raised for the eclipse technique, and the tee was used for the sentiment "It's Your Day".

To join us at Double Trouble all you need to create a masculine project.

Then it's up to you whether you want to include Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist "Something Round", and enter your masculine card at Use Your Stuff

Please follow us on Double Trouble Challenge and receive notices of our new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, and if there is a 5th Monday we run a special one week challenge like this one for our "Something, Everything, Anything".

Happy Bee-Day - Double Trouble Challenge #52

This is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #52 "Die-lirious & Punchy", using Twisted Sister's Twist "Bees/Honeycomb" and partnering with Bitten By the Bug Challenge "Spring Equinox".  Bees are here...Spring has Sprung.  Sought out one of my favorite stamp sets for the honeycombs.  Using the triple time stamping technique, cut the three panels in White Daisy cardstock, placed the three layers in my Misti and stamped a variety of the honeycombs on the corners using assorted yellow inks.  Added the yellow borders on each of the panels and glued all on my card base.

Bitten By the Bug waived their standard of having to use Cricut cuts and for this challenge they will allow you to use any cutting machine. My Bugaboo digital was printed and a couple honeycombs stamped on white cardstock and cut with my Brother Scan and Cut. Love my Scan and Cut but miscalculated the cutting edge so it cut off one of the bee's antennas which I had to glue back on. The bee was colored using Copic Sketch brushes and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension, along with one of the honeycombs. The sentiment were small alphabet dies in which I used my Cuttlebug to cut a set using honey cardstock, adhered to another set using black cardstock for a shadow and then placed and adhered each letter to the card.

Bitten By the Bug

Bitten By the Bug is a challenge that usually requires cuts from your Cricut machine, however, we CUT a Real Die'al with them.  For this challenge they are accepting the use of hand punches, die-cutting machines, but NO fussy-cutting!  Besides using a Cricut you are free to use a Silhouette, a Brother Scan and Cut or other similar devices. In your blog post be sure to tell us what you used.

Please follow us on Double Trouble Challenge and receive notices of our new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, and if there is a 5th Monday we run a special one week challenge "Something, Everything, Anything".
