Trick or Treat - Double Trouble #124 - SomeThing, AnyThing, Everything

Here is my design team card for Double Trouble "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" using Twisted Sister's optional twist to include a wild life critter(s).  When I saw the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #497 it cried out to use this sketch for my last Halloween card... this was so fun sketch to work with all the variations of the sketch.

In place of the banners on the upper left-hand upper border I chose to put a couple of candies peeking out from behind the two patterned paper rectangles.  The eyes of the bat were replacement for the two embellishments in the upper right-hand corner and another candy at the left-hand corner as the embellishment.

A sentiment was stamped several times with pumpkin treat baskets bordered in black and then adhered with 3D thin foam for dimension and a place to stand the Witch Owl. Owl was stamped, colored and adhered to the background orange and black rainbow circle with 3D thin foam tape also for dimension.  All candies were fussy-cut with candies placed as embellishments, under the arm of the owl, her broomstick and adhered with foam tape.

Hey There Pumpkin - Double Trouble Challenge #94

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge "#94 "Fall Garland Inspiration Photo partnering with Use Your Stuff "Fall".  Twisted Sister wanted us to Carve a Pumpkin using scissors, punch, die or die cutting machine and include the pumpkin in the project.  It wasn't very difficult to choose this pumpkin die and cut with my Cuttlebug from one of the design papers from Pumpkin Spice which had all the colors in the "Inspirational Fall Photo" at ColorMyHeart Color Dare#463.

A second pumpkin was cut using orange cardstock, and most of the pieces stayed in place and I only had to piece a part of one of the smaller pumpkins.  The plaid in the same paperpack was a great background for this colorful pumpkin die cut and the sentiment from the sticker sheet was perfect.

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #94

Thing 1: Use my Fall Garland as inspiration for colors and/or Fall items. Use Your Stuff... Go through your stash for papers, stamps, stencils, inks, embellishments, etc. to create a Fall project.

Thing 3:  Optional: Let's make pumpkins with paper using a die, punch, a cutting machine or scissors, "carve your pumpkin" and include it in your project.

Thing 2:  Create a Fall project you are eligible to enter your project HERE  at Use Your Stuff

Hugs - Double Trouble Challenge #82 "Flowers"

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #82 "Flowers" and using the Color Palette and first-time partner at Make the Cards Color Challenge #13 "Candy Coated".

Don't you love this combination of colors for a pretty floral... of course who lacks floral stamps or images.  Chose a foral stamp and die set that had not yet been used along with the stitched lattice background die, a perfect setting for my floral.  Cut an A2 size panel using Lagoon cardstock, die cut the background lattice in Mint cardstock and adhered to the Lagoon panel.

The hard part is to closely match my Copic Sketch brush pens with the "Candy Coated" color challenge and my cardstock... believe I met this challenge.  I used the thin dies to cut the floral but also did a little fussy-cutting where the florals overlap each other, adhered with thin foam tape for dimension and a little glitter pen on the flowers.

A sentiment die "Hugs" was selected and cut using both Mint and Lagoon cardstock, adhered Mint direct to lattice and layered off-set with Lagoon for dimension.

At Double Trouble Our Things 1, 2 and 3 sure bring on some wierd combinations but I like to challenge them all; however, you have the flexibility of doing just Thing 1 "Flowers" and be eligible for our random draw.

For those that really like more of a challenge may want to include Twisted Sister's optional twist and/or enter at Make The Cards Challenge, our partner for this challenge if you have met their requirement... and you will be rewarded additional chances for the random draw. Please join us for this fun challenge

Winter Hello, Warm Wishes - Color Dare #425 partnering with Double Trouble

Here is my Design Team card for Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #425 choosing at least three colors using the Inspirational Board and partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge #74 "Cuddle Up Day" and included Twisted Sister's optional twist "warm and cuddly critter".

One of our entrants (Niki1) for Double Trouble had a beautiful fun fold card in which she used Mary Deatherage's tutorial "side fold card".  The fold is so simple and it gives you the flexibility of a square card that is folded to an A2 size card and envelope... I love it.  Click here to see my other "side fold card".

First I followed the tutorial for my side fold card and background and gathered my stamps and dies.  Chose a critter that was dressed warm and cuddly in a sweater, scarf and hat for my optional twist with warm wishes sentiment and a sweater embossing folder for my background.  Colored the adorable penquin with a variety of colors from the Color Dare Inspiration Board using Sketch Copic alcohol based pens and then fussy-cut.  A set of trees were cut from evergreen cardstock attached to the background, and penguin added with some 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  Sentiments and bows were added.

Please pop over to ColorMyHeart Color Dare to see DT members' inspiration, along with other participants that have entered this challenge.

Color My Heart Color Dare challenges are carried forward for two weeks so if you didn't share your project the first week you still have another week to enter that challenge...current challenges are on the side bar of the Double Trouble challenge blog.

And don't forget to share your entry in celebration of "Cuddle Up Day" at Double Trouble Challenge #74.

Gnome for the Holidays

Got this Stamp Set just before the Pandemic and was going to use it for all my Christmas cards; however, the patterns on the hats, tree, presents and ornaments were all white space, and it's quite time consuming to fill in with the different patterns.  Decided to use the CTMH gnomes instead and use pattern paper for the background... so this special gnome card is for my favorite daughter and her family.  Although maybe after doing 35-40 cards I might have perfected the coloring... lol.

Once I did all my coloring it was pretty easy to finish my card.  In my stash there was a snowflake embossed piece which became my background layered with ruby cardstock.  A partial fussy-cut on my gnome image, also layered with ruby cardstock and adhered to background with 3D thin foam tape.  Stamped a sentiment first on the embossed background (which I messed up) so ended up re-stamping on cardstock, fussy-cut around words and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

GingerBread House - Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season"

Our partner for this challenge is Bitten By The Bug 2 and even though they usually require the inclusion of a cut from a Cricut, we CUT a holiday Die'al with them to be able to use dies from cutter machines.  However, I uncovered my Cricut and uploaded a SVG file from Dreaming Tree, a GingerBread tree ornament, for the Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season" project.

Did not use the cut for a tea light ornament and decided to add a couple "Girl and Boy" Gingerbread images instead.  And of course the colors you choose for your ornament are entirely up to you; so I chose to primarily use non-traditional colors to meet the challenge at ColorMyHeart Color Dare.

Double Trouble Challenge #68 "Tall Tale" with optional twist "Tall Tail"

Attached is my Design Team's tall and skinny (turned landscape) card for Double Trouble Challenge #68 "Tall Tale" and also included the optional twist "Tall Tail" to include something with a tail.  I am also submitting this card to one of our previous partners "ColorMyHeart Color Dare #414"

My new gnome stamp sets were perfect for a tall skinny card.  Stamped all stamps from both sets "Spooky Gnomes" and "Gnome Matter" and put my Brother ScanNCut to use and colored all with Copic Sketch Brush pens, in a variety of many colors and then placed on one of the design papers from "Got Candy" Halloween paperpack using 3D thin foam tape on several of the items for dimension.  The grass was die cut using a green design paper from my stash.

On the inside of the card I decorated the bottom and right-hand border from stamps not used the front of the card.

Please go to Double Trouble for the detail of the challenge and enjoy the Things and Sneetches inspiration for this fun Challenge.
This challenge is open from Monday, October 5th through October 18th.

If you haven't done a tall and skinny card please let it be a first time at our Challenge... so much fun to try to fill the space. Hope to see you there.

All tall and skinny cards can be mailed in a business envelope.

Gnome for the Holidays - Double Trouble Challenge # 62

Here is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #62 "Christmas in July", using Twisted Sister's optional twist of "Gnomes and/or Elves" using my "Cuttlebug" so that I can share with Heart2Heart "Your Favorite Tool".  There were so many cute Gnomes on this stamp set and wanted to use them all... so rather than do a card I decided to do some Christmas tags for the Holidays.  And I was certainly putting my favorite tool to work today with (3) tags, (2) trees, and (1) Gnome on each tag.

Please join us at Double Trouble "Christmas in July" and if you want to use Twisted Sister's twist "gnome/elve" you can earn an extra chance at our random draw. And if you submit the same card to Heart2Heart "Favorite Tool" you have earned another chance at our random draw (or two chances, if you use at least one CTMN product in your project, and mention the item your post).

Please follow us on Double Trouble Challenge and receive notices of our new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, and if there is a 5th Monday we run a special one week challenge like this one for our "Something, Everything, Anything", which will be coming up the end of this challenge.
