A Holiday Treat - Color Dare #413 using AHSC ##387

Here is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare "TicTacToe" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #387.  The sketch reminded me of a couple of books on top of each other and I had just the right die for this.  Cut the book dies in multiple sizes in French Vanilla, Sangria and a Design Paper for the words on the pages. The first book was adhered directly to the background and the second book was added using 3D thin foam tape to show dimension.  Scored the middle of the book giving the page separation and more dimension. What goes with books... a hot cup of coffee, hot chocolate or tea and a comfortable chair... enjoy.  The cup was stamped with a Holiday sentiment.

Sending Smiles - Double Trouble Challenge #67 "Off/On/Over the Edge"

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge "Off/On/Over the Edge" using Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #476.  The sketch itself shows how you can simply use a doily off the edge or partial stamp on the off the edge circle.  But, I decided to use one of Jennifer McQuire's tutorials veering away from my comfort zone and create something off the edge using stamps and dies.

Off the Edge Die Cutting
Partial Die Cutting
Off the Edge Stamping

Using this Sketch, Feel free to change the orientation... rotate or flip the sketch or use its mirror image.

Many of my cards are done with lots of layers for dimension; but decided to keep my design simple and use stamps directly on the card base using different inks and pens to pull it all together. This card took me longer to create than throwing a lot of layers together; but I was happy with the result... but don't know how soon I will create another one layer CAS card.

Time was taken for cutting out images for masking, coloring and trying to keep within the sketch layout.  Thought I was done until I brought out my clear Wink of Stella.  A design sheet was added to the inside of the card

Trick or Treat - Color Dare Challenge #412

Here is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #412 using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #386.  Loved the Sketch because it had many layers which would allow me to use a couple of the design papers from "Got Candy" CTMH paperpack and coordinating Sticker Sheet.  I chose to use all the colors in the board and selected two design papers for two of the background layers.  Used canary cardstock for the background of the adorable little witch from the Sticker sheet, included some candy stickers on the bottom r-h corner of the focal point and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  The sentiment was cut in half and placed on both sides of the background. The stickers and design papers made this a quick layered card.

Awaits Adventure Wild & Free - Double Trouble Challenge #66 "Make a Scene"

This is my DT for Double Trouble Challenge #66 "Make a Scene" using Twisted Sister's optional twist "include some mode of transportation", a jeep.

When we went to Yellow Stone my expectation was to see a moose... never saw one. While visiting with friends in Wyoming I had mentioned my disappointment of not getting a photo of a moose.  They lived near a mountain range wherein he guaranteed we would see one.

This card is made with my memory of a 5-mile scenic jeep ride (about a mile every hour) on a rough dirt road with their LARGE dog sitting between us.  Lots of conversation, laughs and fun time.  It wasn't until the last 20 minutes of our ride a moose was sited by our driver friend... how he ever saw it off in the distance is beyond me; however, with a good distant lens I was able to capture a photo.

Decided to keep it simple and use design papers for my scene. When going through my stash for I came across a paper that appeared like mountain silhouette in the Aurora paperpack (probably a sky, but it worked for my purpose of the scene). Cut along the lines when there was a change of color and adhered with thin foam tape for each mountain level, cut a polka-dot paper for the night-time sky, three trees and a Jeep on first and second level.  Sentiments were added.

Wow - ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #410

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #410 "Red, White & Blue" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #384.

Decided to use the Girl Wonder Stamp set because she is usually dressed in Red and Blue, colored with Copic sketch brushes and cut with thin die.  Went to my stash and pulled out some of the retired Paper Fundamental design papers.  Selected a blue and white stripe for the background and other design papers in Ruby and Sapphire for the other cuts and adhered to the background.  Girl Wonder was layered and adhered to the center frame with thin foam tape. Stars were die cut in gold glitter and adhered with thin foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped in Sapphire ink, cut and adhered with thin foam tape.
