Let's Celebrate our Birthday - Double Trouble Challenge #102 "Something, Anything, Everything"

Here is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #102 "Something, Anything, Everything" and using Twisted Sister's "Anything But an A2 Card".  Don't let these photos fool you... this is just one card (a Tri Fold Mini Slimline).

My New Year's resolution again was to use some of the stamps sets in my stash that had never been used.  Well, it was in my stash but only since Christmas as again my friend/neighbor gave to me the mouse stamp set as a gift... and it was so cute I had to use it for this challenge.

Card Front:  Used stencils to create my clouds, grass and stone path.  The door was personally drawn.  The mice were stamped, colored with copic pens, fussy-cut and using only the first three mice from the Conga Line and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  Unfortunately this was the second card front because after I finished the card I accidentally set it on an open ink pad and it had Memento ink across some of the sky and the mice.  Usually a little ink smudge could be corrected without doing the whole card; however this was not the case.  I was able to cut around the door and grass, adhere to another card base with a new sky.  The mice were again stamped, fussy-cut, colored and then adhered with thin 3D foam tape.

Back of Tri-Fold Scene:  This scene had been created directly on the card base using the same stencils.   The last two mice at the end of the Conga Line, which had been previously colored and fussy-cut were then adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  The wagon is a printed image from the internet, fussy cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  The cupcakes were stamped using the masking technique to create a dimensional image of a pile of cupcakes for the wagon, colored, fussy-cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for more dimension.  To move this to my new cardbase... simply cut the Tri Fold a little smaller and adhered.

Let's Celebrate Your Birthday Scene:  Decided to use a design paper with Confetti and stamped several images and colored with copic pens... a banner, row of balloons and sentiment.  The cupcakes were stamped again using the masking technique.  Balloon strings were drawn and attached to the sentiment with a black multi-liner pen and then adhered to the card base.

Happy Dance Celebration Scene:  Using the Confetti design paper once again, stamped the full Conga line directly on the paper, colored the images with same colors as the two scenes and adhered to the card base.

The Confetti design paper really pulled in the Party Celebration.

This is just another photo to show that the card was a Tri Fold and how it brought the one Conga Line into the two scenes and then the full Conga Line on the inside of the Tri Fold.  My creativity ran wild; and well worth the amount of time spent on it... I was very happy with the result and joined in the Conga Line... hope you do too.

Happy Birthday to You - Color Dare Challenge #480 "Triple Play"

I was able to get into my New Year's resolution to use something already in my stash that had not been used... CTMH Festive and Birthday Borders.  I'll usually  create birthday cards as necessary, but with these stamp sets thought it would be nice to create them more generic, have them on hand and be able to personalize within the message.  The "Triple Play" Color Board was so easy to work with the Birthday Borders.

Stamped the present borders in memento black ink directly on my card panel and placed them to meet the sketch requirement of banners in back of the sentiment panel.  The presents were colored with Copic pens in colors closest to the CTMH colors (Wisteria, Wild Berry, Capri). The inked in area of the stamps took away the bright colors of the board and have learned for the next time with this type of stamp it might be better to use grey.  This panel was layered with black and adhered to the A2 card base.

The candles were stamped, colored with Copic, adhered to the Wild Berry sentiment panel, layered on black cardstock, centered and panel adhered to the presents panel. Using black ink the sentiment was stamped on a curve, fussy-cut, layered with black cardstock and added to the bottom of the candles with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.

Inside of Card:  The balloon border and "wishing you..." sentiment from same stamp set were stamped on the bottom border.

Double Trouble Challenge #101 - "Happy Birthday" Using 3 Patterned Papers

Here is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #102 "Mix It Up" using at least three design papers with an optional twist to use the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #539 and optional twist "Winter Wonder". Twisted Sister had an optional twist to "include a penguin" in Celebration of National Penguin Day.  A lot of options here; but all you need to join the Double Trouble Challenge is to use at least three design papers.. how easy is that.

This card went together pretty fast because the image was already colored at Jennifer Dove's December 2021 Boot Camp and her image and card can be found here.  However, I used the TSOT Sketch for a "Winter Wonder" Birthday card.  Selected three design papers from CTMH Mix-ins and a zip strip and cut according to sketch.  The image was fussy-cut and adhered on sketch background with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #478 - All Occasion Card

Here is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #478 "Choice of Neutrals + One Color".  Immediately thought of the Love Story Paper and Sticker Packet with all the pretty coordinated design papers.  Chose the Toffee paperpack, selected two of the design papers, one with the zip strip and the large floral. Colored the floral with a combination of pink Copic Sketch Brush pens and left the leaves uncolored.

Placed the floral on the striped design paper with the attached zip strip, cut the design paper along the floral bottom edge, added the other design paper to the back, and adhered with tape at the top of the card, and 3D thin foam tape on the bottom edge of floral.

Decided not to use a sentiment on the card because it could easily be for any occasion.

On the inside used a couple more stickers on the bottom border.

Double Trouble #100 Special Challenge "Warm & Cozy - Layer Up" partnering with Bitten By the Bug 2

Here is my card for our Special Double Trouble Challenge #100 with lots of Random Draw Prizes.  My Warm and Cozy is a quilted blanket background to cuddle in, and nothing better to awaken to a stack of warm pancakes with warm syrup running down the side to join the sweet berries... am I dreaming?

My New Year's resolution was to use some of the stamps sets in my stash that were never used.  Well, that didn't work out for my first card of 2022 because my friend/neighbor next door had the perfect stamp set that she never used and she invited me to use it, couldn't refuse.

Layering cards is not a problem for me... they are my comfort zone.  I used several scalloped frames and a quilt embossing folder to create my cuddly and warm blanket.  In the photo below you will see the layering of the frames and stack of pancakes... yum.

We are partnering with Bitten By The Bug 2, a challenge that usually requires the inclusion of a cut item from a Cricut machine.  However, we CUT a Die'al with them. For this challenge, our partner is accepting the use of cut items from punches, dies, and any cutting machine, but NO fussy-cutting! Enter the Bitten by The Bug 2 Challenge for an extra chance in our usual random draw prize."

Thing 1 Prize:  Trouble Maker (Me)
I'm offering a Special Prize if you have included two or more layers on your project.
To qualify you must make a comment on my blog.
