Double Trouble Challenge #27 - Sentiments Background "Something, Anything, Everything"

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble "Something, Anything, Everything".  For Twisted Sister's twist "Words" I used a design paper with a paragraph of words and then used another pattern and used a border die. The floral is a CTMH black & white printed pattern with a sticky background...all I needed to do was color it and adhere to my design papers.  Added some pink pearls in the corner.  This card will also be entered into Three Amigos for their current month's Challenge "Spring Time".

This challenges runs for one week only...so please join us with your projects, and read below on our Sneak Peek for our next challenge which will run simultaneously with this one but will start Friday May 3rd instead of our usual Monday.

THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "This is a Free-for-All challenge so have a little fun creating with "Some Thing", "Any Thing" and "Every Thing". Grab your bone folder, your stuff, and create something new."  We think this is easier than folding a fitted sheet! It's time to use "stuff" you haven't used before.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
is a little sassy.  Babble, Babble, Babble - She's lost for words.  Help her out and have words be the focus on your project.  Use stamps, patterned paper, embossing, stickers, rub-ons and create words.

This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble's random draw prize if you have included words on your project.

THING 2: Double Dare
dares you to multiply the fun and link up your project with any of our previous partner(s) below for extra chances to our Random Draw. Make sure you read their guidelines carefully and observe their dates. We don't want you to get into Trouble with them.

This means: each time you link with a previous partner, or multiple partners with the same card, you gain additional chances for each partner challenge you entered. Please make sure you add them in your blog along with our Double Trouble link.

Sneak Peek:  For our 1st Year Anniversary of Double Trouble
we will be simultaneously running
Challenge 28 and partner with Three Amigos (May 3-19) and
The Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's BlogHop (May 3-10)
In addition to our Random Draw - check out our requirement
to be eligible for Blog Candy

It's Time To Celebrate - Color Dare #340

Here is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #340 using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #313 and the theme of Heart2Heart "Happy" using the CTMH "Heart Happy" Paperpack.

Since the sketch looked like an envelope decided to decorate an envelope for a July 4th Family Holiday invitation.  After completing the envelope realized that the dots in the scalopped border were mint so I used a Copic Pen and colored them to match the Lagoon color in the Board and re-stamped the sentiment on white cardstock...phew...met the choice of 3 colors on the Board.

The invitation colors from the Doodlebug paper was closest to Sapphire, Apple Red and Lagoon.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration and other entrants for the Color Dare's Love of Color Board,  AHSC Sketch and H2H Theme challenges...we would love to see the projects you create. The Color Dare Challenge will be open for (2) weeks. Please make sure you use only the colors that are on the Board and use neutrals as identified for each challenge.

Hoppy Easter "You are Somebunny Special" Color Dare #339

This bunny image was from one of my Copic Classes; however, instead of using the card kit I decided to do my own card design and change some of the colors to meet the ColorMyHeart Color Dare TicTacToe Challenge #339.  I chose a tutorial "How to make a flip/swing card" by The Frugal Crafter by Lindsay Weirich.  These colors were perfect for a Easter card.

A variety of Copic Sketch Brush Pens were used for the bunny image...the pants were thistle with polka dots using Row 1 colors: Fern/Raspberry/Carolina and the bunny using Gray Neutrals, Sugarplum on the paws and Carolina for the eyes.

There was a lot of layering and piecing of all the florals using the same colors, adding pearls to the center and then randomly placed white Nuvo drops around the florals and the bunny oval frame on the inside.  Two great sentiments were added to finish the card.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #312:  Maybe a little out of the box; but I think the front and inside both take on this sketch challenge.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration for the Color Dare's TicTacToe Mix-up Spring/Easter Inspirational Board and join us...we would love to see the projects you create. This Color Dare Challenge will be open for (2) weeks. Please make sure you use only the colors that are on the Board and use neutrals as identified for each challenge...this weeks challenge "all" neutrals free.

Double Trouble Challenge #26 "Splish Splash" with Joy of Sets TicTacToe

This is my DT card for Double Trouble "Splish Splash" using a watercolor background and choosing Joy of Sets TicTacToe Column 1: Wedding/Glitter/DieCut and Twisted Sister's optional twist "a bumbershoot".

I had won a Wedding Packet back a few years and never used it, so I thought this would be a good packet to use for a "Wedding" card. The left-hand border was one of the design papers in the packet which I cut using a border die.  The invitation sentiment was a PML card in the packet and the umbrella was a cricut cut using another PML with a floral bouquet. Framed the sentiment with linen cardstock and adhered to background.  The umbrella was layered and then popped up on the corner of the sentiment with 3D foam tape and adhered to the background.

Love - Color Dare #338

Here is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Spring/Easter" Inspiration Board" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #311.  Fell in love with the little lamb and knew just the stamp set I wanted to use.  Instead of the square I die cut a scribble heart similar to the one in the Inspiration Board.  Then colored the lamb and chose a couple of complements from the paper pack and popped up with 3D foam tape and placed on the heart instead of the three stars. The one was complement was used for the sentiment.

Double Trouble Challenge #25 - "Anything Wood" with Cupcake Inspiration "Woodland Animals"

This is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge "Wood" partnering with Cupcake Inspiration "Woodland Animals"  Please join us at Double Trouble and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and "Get your groovy on", sing along with "Wild Thing" and earn a cupcake for using a woodland critter.

This was one of the Card Kits from the Copic Class instructed by Nicolette at Our Creative Escape in Goodyear AZ, which I was unable to attend...so I was on my own with some help on colors and techniques from my daughter who also attends these classes.  A lot of colors (25) were used for this woodland critter, couple techniques and happy with the results.

The colors used were the same; but created my own layout.  The only items used from the Card Kit was the image and the turquois textured cardstock which I cut in two panels and layered with black cardstock.  Selected some woodgrain design paper for my background.  Cut down the image on white cardstock and fussy-cut on two sides of the image and adhered my three panels on the background sheet.  Added the sentiment and the flower embellishments that had the appearance of wood.

Thing 1: Trouble Maker
says "Let's get groovy!"
Use some kind of wood in your project (woodgrain design paper, wood embellishments, trees, fence, stump, etc)

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
Use a woodland critter in your project.

Thing 2: Double Dare

dares you "If you have included a woodland critter in your project then you are eligible to link your project to Cupcake Inspirations Theme Challenge #467."
