Special Delivery

This Any Occasion card was made using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #170 using the design papers from CTMH "Blossom".

Stamped the floral arrangement from Candlelight Garden SOTM on vellum, heat embossed with fine white embossing powder, colored with brush using the same colors as in the design papers, fussy cut and used the reverse side of vellum because it accented the white better.

Chose a background design paper, layered with cardstock and used zip strips from "Blossom" and adhered to background paper.  Cut a square frame, layered and adhered the vellum flower on base with 3D Thin foam tape. Stamped sentiment with Lagoon, fussy cut, layered and adhered with 3D regular foam tape.  Added embellishments.

For the inside of the card same stamp was used with a leave flair along the sides.

Any Occasion Card

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #203: Join us in this week’s challenge combining Eggplant, Flaxen, Sweet Leaf and Colonial White...Looking forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge. We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors...and still join in the fun.

Hop on over to Color Dare and see all the other great cards from the Design Team for some great inspiration.
I was at a Friend's home for a get-together and she had gone back to her hometown this summer and brought back quite a supply of dies, stamps and new scrapping stuff...so I went wild with her dies.  The card shape was a die along with the frames and all the flowers and leaves were another die.  And what more appropriate for the color challenge was the beautiful designs of the Paper Fundamentals. A lot of layering and fussy cut backing on the flowers.

Decided not to put any sentiment in the card because I want to be able to use this for a future special occasion and unknown for who or when.  I just love the fold and design of the card.  Below are photos of the card opened up from a couple angles.

Happy Father's Day

I am the Guest Design for the Month of July at Heart2Heart. This is my Card for the July 25, 2016..."Sports".

My husband has so many favorite sports on TV, but the one he actually watches and enjoys participating in is golfing.  My sons also enjoy this sport and my grandchildren sometimes look to me for cards...so ready for next Father's Day...and if a card is necessary before then, I might have to change the sentiment.

This was one of the easiest cards I have created...thanks to my Cricut Explorer and a golfing card purchased for 99 Cents at Cricut Design Center...far more superior card then to get one at the Dollar Store and it cost me the same.  I cut out one complete card in colonial white and a second one (scene only) in green. Glued the two scenes together to leave a little of the colonial white on the edges for shadowing.  Then I cut a background sheet in green design paper and a second piece in blue for the sky which was glued to the green and then put on the back of the scene.  Added some thin foam tape to the back of the golf club and the boy to bring in some dimension.

Live, Love, Laugh

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #203: Join us in this week’s challenge combining White Daisy, Sorbet, Canary and Crystal Blue...Look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge. We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors...and still join in the fun.

I loved the Chrysanthenum Corner die from a previous card so thought I would do another card using both the cut and the frame and backed with sorbet cardstock.  I pulled out another die-cut for the opposite corner and cut two pieces (one in colonial white and crystal blue) and layered leaving a peek of crystal blue and backed with canary cardstock.

Stamped using the Brushstrokes Flair alternating blue and yellow across the white daisy cardstock, and placed the crystal blue hexagon cut outs along the edge of the die cut and and upper left-hand corner, along with sporadically in the die cut itself.

Live, Love and Laugh were die cut in several colors, and layered with another color peeking behind the words.  I had previously cut the heart to use for my sentiment but instead at the last minute decided to add to a spot on the card where it looked like the brushstroke ran across the heart.  I really love this color combination, so bright and summery, and instead of design paper decided to use some of the dies I had in my stash...hope you enjoy my creation.

Special Day

I am the Guest Design for the Month of July at Heart2Heart. This is my Card for the July 18, 2016..."Sightseeing".

I didn't have a scrapbook page that I wanted to do; but decided to use "Paris Eiffel Tower" stamp as a sightseeing place.  And what's better than viewing through your sun glasses...and what a special day.

This photo shows the different dimensions from the background and glasses. Sentiment was from the Charlotte Complements along with the heart.

Beach

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #202: Join us in this week’s challenge combining Colonial White and any 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or all 6 of the following CTMH Browns: Cocoa, Chocolate, Saddle, Cashmere, Champagne and Desert Sand. Look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge. We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors...and still join in the fun.

I like the challenge of using all the colors; however sometimes found it a little difficult ...but I did it... and also used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #168, and "Pool or Beach" theme at Bitten By the Bug 2.

The first photo is the Sketch for Atlantic Hearts; but I chose to flip the sketch to allow for my Banner or Beach Sign/Sentiment.

INSPIRATION and MEMORIES:  My inspiration came with the colors and memories of family vacations at a Canadian Resort and Lodge with our cottage being right by the Beach. My sister was quite talented in making castles and villages in the sand.  She hired my sister and I to fetch pails of water, foliage, stones and sticks and we watched as she put together an amazing village and castle.  After the materials used, I have photos of our Cottage and Beach.

There were several die-cuts, some modifed, to give me the focal point of this card, and the beach post, and used an embossing folder to show the folds and color variance in sand.

All the Goodness of Life in a Cup

I am the Guest Design for the Month of July at Heart2Heart. This is my Card for the July 11, 2016..."Throwback"

My Throwback was going back to a retired paper pack "Topstitch", a paper pack that did not have zip strips on design papers; but had a design paper that appeared like zip strips and/or washi tape background.  And the Teapot and Teacups were a stamp set from 2013, another throwback, but still available.

You Are My Happy

I am the Guest Design for the Month of July at Heart2Heart. This is my Card for the July 4, 2016... "Use the Magical paper pack/colors or commemorate a magical event". It was easy to select the "Magical" Paper Pack which is one of my favorites.

I first stamped (2) of the ice cream truck on daisy white cardstock and also stamped on two of the design papers and one on sapphire cardstock.  All stamps were fussy-cut for the different parts of the ice cream truck and pieced and glued on one of the Daisy White stamps. A lot of fussy-cut and piecing. The Puppy was stamped on Daisy White cardstock, colored, and fussy-cut. Background papers were chosen, stamped the sentiment on the design paper and adhered a couple of scalloped circles to show movement of the ice cream truck. Adhered the ice cream truck and puppy with 3D Thin Foam tape.
