Double Trouble #122 - Jan's Digitals (Fall )

Here is my Design Team project for Double Trouble "Fall Colors - Leafin' It Up To You" using the colors in Trouble Maker's clipart and sharing the same colors with ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #515 TicTacToe using the CTMH Paperpack Crisp Air).  My choice was (Col 1:  Nectarine, Pine, Sundance) + all other colors except Peach and Gold.  Double Trouble is partnering with Jan's Digi's Blog Challenge "Anything Goes" and earn an additional chance at Double Trouble's Random Draw.

In my stash there was a tag stamp with a Fall floral which was perfect for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #492. This challenge will have ended by the time this post comes up but loved the sketch for theme for Double Trouble. Took advantage of the many coordinating patterned papers and used them for the banners, background and the go-to-cup with Pumpkin spice coffee. The pumpkin was fussy-cut from one of the patterned papers to satisfy Twisted Sister's optional twist to "include a pumpkin". Tag, background and banners were each bordered with Paprika cardstock. Sentiment was stamped on the upper right-hand side for balance instead of on the tag.

Two tags were stamped lightly with Mocha ink and then one colored with a variety of Copic colors close to the TicTacToe Board. The other one was used to fussy-cut the two florals and adhered with 3D thin and regular foam tape for dimension.  The to-go-cup was a die that was cut using the patterned paper, the sleeve and cover were adhered with 3D thin foam, and then adhered to tag base with foam tape.  Pumpkin was fussy-cut from patterned paper, adhered with thin foam tape in center and glued to the sides for rounding. Below is a photo taken to show the dimension.

Forgot to mention my booboo. I was testing the Copic colors for Nectarine and Sundance and tested the colors on my almost completed tag floral in the upper right-hand corner. Unfortunately, it was too large an area to cover with an embellishment. But I did have the two leaves on the extra tag which I colored, fussy-cut and adhered with thin tape for dimension.

Join us at the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop... there are many super sponsors and there are no limits to the number of projects you enter. The more entries the better your chances for winning Coffee Lovers' random draw prizes. Some of us from Our Little Crop Group attended many Copic Coloring Classes before the Pandemic at a local scrapbook store. The coloring packets were included in a plastic bag with all the cuts and trimmings and instructions to assemble a card.

There were three coffee card packets in my stash beckening to be used... So below my card are the packets I chose for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop. Pulled out all the pieces from each of these packets and created three new coffee cards with brighter spring colors using bits and pieces from each packet.

Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

This is a card I made for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop using the colors from ColorMyHeart Color Dare #436 "TicTacToe" and combining it with the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #498 Chose a tea cup die and cut it with one of the design papers from the CTMH Daisy Meadows.  The images, flowers and eggs were fussy cut from the same design paper and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  A border die was used for the lace and the eggs replaced the bow in the sketch.  Two mint embellishments were added to the left-hand upper corner.

Please visit Coffee Lovers Hop, ColorMyHeart Color Dare and Try Stampin' on Tuesday for inspiration and create something for Spring/Summer.  Looking forward to seeng what you have created.

GingerBread House - Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season"

Our partner for this challenge is Bitten By The Bug 2 and even though they usually require the inclusion of a cut from a Cricut, we CUT a holiday Die'al with them to be able to use dies from cutter machines.  However, I uncovered my Cricut and uploaded a SVG file from Dreaming Tree, a GingerBread tree ornament, for the Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season" project.

Did not use the cut for a tea light ornament and decided to add a couple "Girl and Boy" Gingerbread images instead.  And of course the colors you choose for your ornament are entirely up to you; so I chose to primarily use non-traditional colors to meet the challenge at ColorMyHeart Color Dare.

You're My Lucky Charm - Color Dare #385

Here is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #385 "Inspiration Board" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #359.  Wow, most every color of the rainbow is in this Inspirational Board and a St. Patty's Day card was in order.  So, I pulled out my Doodlebug St. Patty Day patterned papers and started cutting the strips for my background. Instead of hearts I used a couple of clouds, adhered with 3D foam tape and cut a rainbow with the same papers as the background, the rainbow working it's way into the background.  My sentiment was on the other side of patterned papers, along with the image, these were fussy-cut and image was adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

Happy Anniversary

This card is made for my daughter and son-in-law's Anniversary interpreting the MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge #531

The papers in this packet were so pretty and combination of the designs was just perfect for an anniversary card. The Circle and banner are combined in my interpretation of the sketch with the swirly bird ribbon layered and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  The other cuts were made to size and bordered with black shadow.

The inside of my card was decorated with some decorative frames and one panel left for writing a personal message.

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed - The Cutting Cafe

My daughter approached me to see if I would be interested in becoming a DT member of The Cutting Café and then referred me to Regina.  Well, after my daughter "twisted my arm" and Regina said "I could do it" and because my Cricut was gathering dust in my paper crafting room...I decided to dust it off and start using it. Plus CTMH is offering a Cricut Affiliate Program that can be shared with my customers, so look out Cricut here I come.

So, here I am with my first DT project. A bit of a learning curve working with SVG files; but with the help of my daughter I adapted pretty fast and now looking forward to creating the next project.

Chose to use the "Single Door" SVG File because this was another new challenge to me ...  working with a long card ... and a challenge to fill in the space with the different Cutting Café files without hiding the style of the door.

The door was cut with woodgrain design paper and another layer to add thickness and dimension to the door. Uploaded the wreaths to Cricut, imported and changed to a print and cut around the inside and outside of the wreath...they cut beautifully.  Colored the wreath with many Copic colors of fall, stamped and colored a small squirrel to add to the center of the wreath. Stamped the sentiment on the wood cut at the top of the door and added a bronze circle door handle.

Okay, the wreath was very pretty, but my thought was to find something to use on the bottom corner to balance out the card. My ideas were all over the place and then decided to put a Trick or Treater on the left-hand corner of the door.  My daughter told me to look for Elisha and Friends...and perfect there was a Witch printable stamp available and I chose to use Elisha's friend, Mikala Ann.  Printed the images and then used another machine that collects dust "Brother Scan and Cut" and they cut beautifully; however, I  needed to do a little fussy-cut between the witch and broom. I know the Brother can do this but the time to experiment would be far more than doing fussy-cut, maybe next time.  Mikala Ann was colored with Copic alcohol-base brush pens in a variety of colors, and the plaid you see is not design paper but used three shades of purple and white gel lines to create the plaid dress.

Felt I needed to bring a little of the Fall colors down in the corner, so added a few of the leaves that fell from the wreath and luckily Witch Mikala Ann had her broom for clean up.  Couldn't finish there because the house cat was out and appeared to be quite inquisitive on why the squirrel was on the wreath.  Done and very happy with my first DT card for The Cutting Café.
