DTC #119 (S.A.E) with Piglet Twist - Hogs & Kisses

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble #119 "Something, AnyThing, EveryThing" and using Twisted Sister's optional twist to "Include a Pig/Piglet" for another chance at DTC random draw with another chance at DTC if you use a pun.

So, as I was looking through my stash found some pre-stamped cute little Christmas piglets. If my memory serves me right it was a stamp set (a give-a-way for some at our December 2021 Copic Boot Camp) my daughter didn't want to trade a floral stamp so I pre-stamped (2) sets of the three piglets.

I'm unable to tell you the vendor because my daughter could not find the stamp set in her ENORMOUS stash. So... if there is any crafter out there that know the vendor of these stamps pleaseeeee put the vendor in my comment area... the first to recognize and direct me to the vendor and where these stamps can be purchased will be sent a small gift.  I want that stamp set.  In fact I loved them so much I created three cards.

"Walking in a Vintage Wonderland"

Now who would have thunk... that Twisted Sister's optional twist to include piglets could be used to meet the requirement for our previous partner at Jingle Belles "Walking in a Vintage Wonderland".  What a find in my stash, just need to conquer the Vintage.

For the Vintage look:  Went back to a distressing technique which was used quite frequently back at least 20 years ago.  Can still hear the sound of the distressing technique. Using your ink pads were the most annoying sound, then we graduated to a sponge technique which softened the sound.  However, as annoying as it was we would all start laughing and we would distress and laugh that much harder.  Our tool again has been updated, a Blender Brush, and I'm missing the annoying sound, but I'm still laughing.

All the cards were created using the same frames, paper and copic colors.

My First Card... This was the only one using the snowflake stencil on the pink doily patterned paper for the background.

My second card... the only difference was using the plaid for my background.

My third card...  tore edges of pink doily patterned paper for my background.

Color Dare #510 - TicTacToe

Here is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #510 "TicTacToe" using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #568.  Used most of the colors except Nectarine, Gold and Silver which left me with TTT left diagonal only (Sapphire, Pine, Candy Applel).

All panels of CTMH "Backyard Bliss" patterned paper were cut to size for my sketch interpretation along with one of the zip strips and then backed all with Sapphire cardstock.  Used several of the stickers from the paperpack, a sentiment and the boot which was fussy-cut for a thinner border. Finished it off with some Nuvo drops closest to papaya.  This sketch was easy to use and the paper and stickers made it a quick attractive card.

Season of Change - Guest Designer for Creative Creases #39 Fun Fold

I am proud to be a Guest Designer for Creative Creases Challenge #39 "Anything Goes - Fun Fold".

The video and written instructions on Create with Alyson are easy and fun. There are many to choose from and my choice was the "Top Fold Over Card" in the album Fancy Fold Cards - Easy  To view these links you have to be a member of the group or you can link HERE to join.

In Phoenix for the last 10 weeks we have had 3-digit temperatures... so my thought process was "cool down" and I selected the "Crispy Air" CTMH paperpack with Sticker Sheet for a Fall card.  Cut three of the panels in Paprika cardstock and then layered each with one of the patterned papers from the paperpack.

The fun fold is easy and excellent for many layers and the Sticker is full of images and sentiments that make it easy to pile it on.  Would have been a quick card; but it wasn't... I don't like the thick borders on the stickers thus they were all fussy-cut closer to the image.  Then the fun of what to put where, started from the bottom and went up, using 3D thin foam tape on some of the items for dimension.

Stay Cool - Double Trouble #118 "Relaxation Celebration" partnering with The Crafter's Cafe

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble "Relaxation Celebration" and using Twisted Sister's optional twist "include flower(s)" and partnering with The Crafter's Cafe "National Relaxation Day".

Wasn't sure how I was going to bring in "flowers" but went through my coloring stash from Copic classes and I found this cute House Mouse... doing nothing, just relaxing and laying among the flowers. All I had to do to finish my image was to add a little more grass and color the sky and used the fence that was in my card kit.

Color Dare #508 "Six Pack"

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #508 "Six Pack" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #484. If you're like me when new catalogs come out you have to have that stamp. There are so many stamp sets in my stash that have not been used.  So I'm turning over a new leaf to use them, at least until the next catalog comes out...lol.  This sketch told me I should make a CAS card and I believe I accomplished that.

Rather than using the White Daisy cardstock the French Vanilla was a good choice for the three colors selected (Sangria, New England Ivy and Avocado) and using closest to those colors.  The branch was stamped using New England Ivy, two times moving the stamp slightly and stamping same image with Pear (closest to Avocado).  The bottom pine needles were fussy-cut and rest of panel squared to give spacing for the zip strips on top and bottom as in the sketch.

The bird was stamped lightly with black ink and then stamped two times over the image with Scarlet (closes to Sangria).  Stamped a sentiment in New England Ivy, some dots in Scarlet and adhered to a panel of Scarlet with 3D thin foam tape.

Happy Birthday Fun Fold - Double Trouble Challenge #117

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #117 "Gimme S'more". In other words Trouble Makes says, "Let's add S'more stuff. We want to see lots of deliciousness such as extra layers, frames, die cuts, flowers, other images, etc., it's your choice.  Twisted Sister's optional twist was to "Make a Fun Fold" and share with our partner Creative Creases #37 "Anything Goes - Fun Fold"

The ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #506 "Inspiration Photo" has delicious colors so my decision of colors was based on the inspiration photo.  Twisted Sister says, "It's the perfect time for my optional twist... create a Fun Fold project using all your deliciousness."  Here is what I created using our Sneetch Alyson's tutorial on "Double Side Step Card" in her Album "Fancy Fold - Medium" (See Additional information at the end of my post for information on additional fancy folds.

The Tutorial and Instruction Sheets from Alyson's page were definitely needed and very thorough... I followed deligently and added some perks too... pop up images on inside and 1/8" mats.  My only problem was I don't have a cutter combined with a score blade...  but tempted to get one now.
