Double Trouble Challenge #17 - 3,2,1 Anything Recipe and Special Topping "Soft & Pastel" with Color Dare

This is my Double Trouble Challenge #17 using the "3-2-1 Anytime Recipe" with ingredients of 3 Embellishments, 2 Colors and 1 Sentiment, or more, and the Special Topping at ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Soft and Pastel".

Look what I picked up at our local scrapbook store "Newton's Donut" Stamp set...knew immediately what I was going to do with this.  Stamped two images, colored the full image and the paws of the other image and layered with 3D thin foam tape.  Cut the large oval for the background of Newton, and a small one for the sentiment.

My personalized background was stamped with the sprinkles in a variety of pastel CTMH inks which were used on the donut, and adhered to a scalloped frame.  Newton was was quite happy to be placed in the center of all the sprinkles and sentiment added at bottom with the three bitty sparkle embellishments need to complete my Anytime Recipe.

I Really Did Try - Double Trouble Challenge #17

This is my Double Trouble Challenge #17 using the "3-2-1 Anytime Recipe" with ingredients of 3 Embellishments, 2 Colors and 1 Sentiment, or more, and the Special Topping at ColorMyHeart Color Dare "Bold & Bright" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #295, and it also seemed very similar, maybe out of the box, but a good match up with Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #388 with optional "Celebrate".

One of my Grandma's favorite cookie recipes at Christmas time was Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips.  We always left a plate for Santa, and they were gone the next morning so they might have been his favorite too.  For my focal point I had the perfect stamp set from Little Acres Creations...masked the Dear Santa and plate of cookies, added the Santa note, colored with variety of Copic Sketch Brushes, fussy-cut the frame, layered with red frame and foam and added three embellishments and sentiment.  Background paper was chosen for the peppermint look along with another panel of bold red and zip strip added at bottom of card.

Shaker Card - H2H - Dec Week 2

This is my Design Team Card for Heart2Heart "Shaker Card" and the stamp set was very flexible in making any scene you wanted. However, I chose to use the frame with the large tree, birds, bunny, small fir trees, hill and sprigs and there were many more elements that I didn't use. The scenery was colored using Chameleon pencils in a variety of colors.  There was a snow globe embossing folder that came with the stamp set which was embossed on  design paper and destroyed while cutting.  Thus went to my stash and used this snowflake swirls embossing folder, used sandpaper to distress and placed a stitched die in the middle of the embossed  panel to cut out the window. It wasn't as pretty as the snow globe, but I was happy with it.

Hop on by this week's Heart2Heart theme to see inspirations from Design Team members. Heart2Heart invites you to showcase your favorite project...you have until the end of the month to create and submit. Earn a Perfect Attendance Badge if you create a card for each weekly theme during that month...to view these challenges they are listed on the sidebar at the top of the Heart2Heart Blog.

Color Dare #322 "Bright and Bold"

Here is my DT project, a Christmas Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #322 "Bold and Bright and my card for the last day of the 2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I know I was using a sketch from somewhere but I made this card quite some ago and hadn't recorded it on my blog page.  Used a lot of stitched dies and the cups were die cut in cardstock and the design paper and pieced.  Will use as a Christmas card, or friendship/birthday card.

Dana Warren - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Inspiration

MY INSPIRATION:  For the past few years I have been a big fan and entrant of the Coffee Lovers Seasonal Blog Hops.  There is so much inspiration within this Blog Hop that I decided to pay tribute to the Design Team.  I have selected one post from the 2017 Fall and/or Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for each Design Team member.  Each has provided me inspiration for creating my card for the 2018 Fall/Winter Blog Hop.

Amy Tsuruta, Founder and Hostess, demonstrated innovation when she developed the Coffee Blog Hop.  Her vision has created a firestorm of coffee-inspired challenges and merchandise across the globe.  Her dedication and hard work in keeping the challenge alive and fun for all of us fanatics in paper crafting and coffee addicts does not go unappreciated.  Thank you, Amy!

BLOG CANDY:  In the past I won a coffee mat as Blog Candy and I love it.  I searched online to find that coffee mat and much to my surprise there it was along with others.  I have several new mats that you can win by random draw along with a Spellbinders die. All you have to do is link a coffee card to the Double Trouble Challenge, make a comment, and meet the guidelines for Challenge #16, click on below for more detail.

(Starts Dec 3 - Dec 7) Winter/Holiday with some kind of Embossing technique "Dry/Heat/Paste" and
Comment:  "What's your favorite hot/cold drink?"

Check out Double Trouble's Challenge, Click on Frank Sinatra's The Coffee Song and it will pull you right into the mood of creating coffee projects and don't stop it at the coffee song...listen on.

2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 7 - Card 1: My inspiration today is Dana Warren's project from the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Dana you don't know how much I waivered between your cards but finally made the decision to do water coloring.  Why? Because water coloring is not in my comfort zone so I chose this one because it also had layering. In my stash I found 1 piece of watercoloring cardstock and threw out two of the cuts before I got what somewhat represented your background. This must have been something my daughter gave me to encourage watercoloring.

Well, much to my surprise when I read how you created this card "smooching" what the heck is that. You Tube helped me out, but I don't have any refills and I wasn't going to back out.  So I improvised by patting couple of green ink pads randomly on wax paper, sprayed with glitter mist and did my smooching...I liked that result. Stamped the wreath in one color before the card dried to give it the water color affect, and then used a darker green randomly on the stamp and stamped over the watercolored one.  My next dilemma was I didn't have a poinsettia stamp so used a die.  Didn't have a Snowman or stocking so decided to go with a take out cup.  There were a lot of "I didn't have" but decided to go with what I had and no more improvising.  So this is it...I was pleased and hope you are too with all my initial improvising.

Thank you, Dana, for quite an experience and challenge.  I guess I knew this was going to be a challenge and why your card was my last inspirational challenge of the Design Team.
