Happy Birthday "Hoodie Hoo Celebration" with Creative Creases 2nd Year Anniversary "Fun Folds"

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #132 "Hoodie-Hoo Celebration" for Creative Creases 2nd Anniversary "Anything Goes Fun Folds" and used this tutorial to "Make a Double Diamond Fold Card" by Lisa Curcio (Lisa's Stamp Studio).

My card base was scored and folded using Mint cardstock. Once I mastered the fold it was a lot of fun choosing the patterned papers and from the "Cherish" paperpack to include Twisted Sister's optional twist to include flowers. On the sentiment panel one of the floral stickers was chosen and stuck to the top of the panel.

When the card was open I just felt something else was needed. I had the perfect embellishment... a gift from Creative Creases, a packet of gold embellishments. which now found a home on my card.  A gold embellishment was placed on each corner and Bitty Sparkles randomly placed on sentiment panel.

The fun fold card is small when folded and a A2 envelope can be used.  If you open to the inside of the card (photo above) flattens for mailing, you will need a little larger envelope.

Gnome Bunny is a Better Friend than You - Color Dare #536 - TicTacToe

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #536 "TicTacToe" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #512.  The colors reminded me of Easter Eggs so decided to use my new Easter Gnome stamp set and use many of the colors in the Board.  Started out with Row 1 using cardstock for the background with Honey Butter and bordered with Mist.

To finish off Row 1 TTT I used Melon for the Easter Gnomes shirt with a little Mist and Sage in the hat and shoes, and just used the balance of colors except for mulberry and Wisteria. Added the small panel using Mist as border and Melon for the brush strokes die and made it appear as a wooden sign with the sentiment.

Yeti For The Holidays -- Coffee Lover's Caffeinated Christmas Card "Hearts"

Here is a second card as a Guest Designer for the February Challenge of Caffeinated Christmas Card "Hearts" sponsored by LTTS Doodles.

Once again going to my stash to look for some images from Jenn Dove's Bootcamp from December 2021. Pulled out an adorable Yeti which I hadn't finished but thought he would make a great Christmas card.  This was a nightmare for me at the class because the eyes on the Yeti stamp was only a dot and Jenn showed us a technique on how to enhance eyes.  I was happy with it until one of my copics bled out on the eye to the right.  It looked better than what I remembered so made a couple adjustments and it just appeared as more shadowing on that side of the Yeti.

I still needed to do Yeti's fur... again this was another specialized technique.  Pulled out my Boot Camp Notebook, obtained the colors and did the technique from a photo.  It's definitely a lot easier to follow Jen's instructions on shadowing and shading, I did the best I could from the photo... not quite the same as Jen's photo but happy with it.

To finish off the Christmas card with coffee and heart I had a die which was perfect to complete my card.  Now the fun begins...

I had a fun fold card base in my stash and decided to use it for Yeti. I was really stumbling around with the papers, the image placements and colors... and after I took photos to turn over to the Coffee Lover's decided I wasn't happy with it.  That cup was not the right color, and I couldn't move the sentiment because it was all fussy cut words  The positioning was top heavy.  I couldn't talk myself into using the fun fold.  Here is a photo of the fun fold before I tore it down.

The fun fold card base was put back in my stash for another card in the future.

The A2 card went pretty fast, chose a different background paper, cut the hearts with same paper, colored the cup in red, added a snowflake to balance the sentiment and bordered with candy apple cardstock. A2 Card completed in half an hour.

Valentine Cards - Challenge #131 "Love Is In The Air"

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #131 "Love Is in the Air" using Twisted Sister's Optional twist to use the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge # 593.

Going through Instagram I came across Jessica's #freshbyjess post "Been busy trying to use up paper vs hoarding it!". I took her advise and kept cutting pieces from CTMH "Smitten", mixing up the design papers and created three cards using the same sketch.  It's a start and a lot of fun but not sure I can keep up with it. I'll have to make it more challenging next time by rotating the sketch and/or using different sketches.

Below are photos of the three cards uses pieces of the same paperpack and stickers.  Please stop on by at Double Trouble and Try Stampin' on Tuesdays for inspiration and to see what the other Design Team members and entrants have created.  Hope to see you there.

Owl Always Love You - Color Dare #534 "Inspiration Photo"

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #534 using the CTMH "Life's a Hoot" paperpack which included many of the colors in the Hearts Inspiration Photo.

While looking for a sketch came across the Tuesday Morning Sketches #693 using a bird as the focal point of the sketch. There was an adorable owl on the sticker sheet included in the same paperpack. CAS and a little time... my card was completed.

Used one of the pretty patterned papers for my background.  The banners were one of the zip strips from the design paper and the other three banners were from the Sticker Sheet which one was the sentiment.  Since the owl was an oval decided it wasn't necessary for the oval frame. Put a pink border around the background paper and adhered to the card base. Done in less than half an hour and happy with the result.

Big Bear Hugs and Merry Christmas - Coffee Lover's Caffeinated Christmas Card "Hearts"

I was invited to be a Guest Designer for the February Challenge of Caffeinated Christmas Card "Hearts" sponsored by LTTS Doodles.
Wasn't sure how to bring in the hearts until I found a paw heart stencil in my stash which would make a fun background for my whimsical bear and penguin stamp set. Sponged the paw hearts using Candy Apple ink and stamped some small snowflakes randomly among the paw prints.

The bear, penguin and tree were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Copic white cardstock, cut with Brother Scan'Cut, colored with a variety of Copic pens and adhered to the background with 3D thin foam tape.  The Hugs sentiments was stamped with Memento Black ink and the Happy Holidays is from a Paper Smooches Die.
