Wishing You A Birthday as Special as You - Color Dare #331

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare using one my images colored at many Copic Classes.  I have been attending Copic classes for about a year now.  A Card Kit is supplied with an image to color and then all the materials needed to put the card together.  There are a number of already copic image packets that I have colored but not assembled and these will appear in future challenges with some modification.

This particular card was colored in greys; but I decided to change to a sepia look for this Color Dare Challenge in browns.  The ovals were already cut with the Card Kit to make an eclipse card.  The accent color was already determined with initial coloring.  New pieces had to be cut in browns but kept the layout much the same.   Thank you to Nicolette a Copic Instructor at The Paper Collage, a local scrapbook store in Peoria Arizona, for this beautiful layout.

Double Trouble Challenge #22 TicTacToe and Use Your Stuff "Magic"

This is my DT Card for Double Trouble #22 "TicTacToe" combining it with Use Your Stuff "Magic".

This was such a fun card to make...a lot of coloring and fussy-cutting a variety of sea images from Simon Says "Beautiful Mermaids" which created my scenery placed on an oval sea of water.  A lot of embellishments were added for additional glitter and magic and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  My original selection was the Right Diagonal (Blue Hues, Image, Die) but as I added the different sea items and embellishments to my card I was able to include the 1st and 2nd Rows, and the 1st Column.  I tried but  just could not find a place for the Velum and a ribbon.

Trouble Maker says "Let's play TicTacToe - first pick a row, column or diagonal and let us know in your post which you have chosen." If you want to add additional elements the choice is yours.

Be sure to visit Twisted Sister...she has some great ideas for images. "Show us a little magic! Don't just stop with pulling a rabbit out of a hat! Ride a unicorn into the sunset, dust off your fairy wings, and shimmer like a mermaid...

Double Dare says "If you have included a little magic in your project then you are eligible to link your project at Use Your Stuff."

Color Dare #330 - TicTacToe Color Palette of "I Heart Us"

The image was from our Copic Class, and since I was unable to attend decided to use the Paper Smooches Unicorn for my project with some variation in colors to match the TicTacToe Board and the CTMH "I Heart Us" paperpack.  Since the Paper Smooches Challenge was "Hearts" the circles were replaced with hearts.

Color Dare #329 - Love of Color "Thanks"

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #329 using the MFT Sketch Challenge #423. My colors chosen were Linen, Mint (used light and dark), Gold and additional greys.  I've had this stamp and die set for quite some time and felt the sketch from MFT was a good place to start.  Selected the Mint (light side) for my background.  Originally stamped six swans with linen ink on linen cardstock, adhered the wings with foam tape; however when I placed them on the card base it was too crowded.  So back to the drawing board.

Decided to use the cattails on each side of the swan and stamped on some waves.  Sentiment was stamped on the new banners received this past week with the gold ink and then heat embossed using Princess Gold and all stamped images were adhered with foam tape for dimension

Double Trouble Challenge #21 - Flowers & with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #302

Here is my DT Card for Double Trouble #21 "Make It Flowers" and partnering with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #302. The background paper was chosen for the floral design and cut the border with a pretty scallop and stitched edge. Instead of using flowers on the focal point I decided to use three butterflies, added some leaves and three beads. Sentiment was another die cut, layered and adhered to floral design paper.

Trouble Maker was quite insistent on the theme to "Make It FLOWERS!", and Twisted Sister was just as insistent on a bee for her optional twist, but we convinced her to allow "anything with Wings"

Use the beautiful sketches so that you are able to include your project at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #302 and #303.

Sketch Challenge #303 is a sneak peek which will be open the 2nd week of this Challenge, however, our DT cards are already in the post for additional inspiration. It's important that your project is entered according to the sketch and dates in Double Trouble's challeng blog. Anxious to see your interpretation and inspiration of the sketches.

Here is my DT Card for Double Trouble Challenge #21 "Make It Flowers" partnering and using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #303. The floral die was cut into the center of white card stock, embossed, layered on Lilac cardstock and then the floral cut added back into the embossed panel. The butterfly was a previously cricut cut which was in my stash and it went was adhered to the bottom corner of the floral. A sentiment was added and layered with the lilac cardstock.
