Bam - Double Trouble Challenge #50

This is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #57 "Brown Bag-It Day", using Twisted Sister's optional twist "include red" and partnering with Crafting Happiness #50 "Red".  requirement "Kraft".

In my stash I came across a little Kraft baggie and was going to make a Gift Bag; but decided to use it as a card background instead.  It looked like it would be a good BAM card; so I pulled from my stash the stamp and thin cut set for a super hero and a Bam Bubble from Paper Smooches.  The inside was completed with a few Bams, Boy Wonder and a Happy Birthday for my oldest kid and still a kid at 50... lol.

To join us at Double Trouble all you need to create a project using Kraft.

Then it's up to you whether you want to include Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist "Red" for our 2nd week partnership at Crafting Happiness #50.

Please follow us on Double Trouble Challenge and receive notices of our new challenge on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, and if there is a 5th Monday we run a special one week challenge like this one for our "Something, Everything, Anything".

Happy Birthday - Double Trouble Challenge #57

This is my DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #57 "Brown Bag-It Day" (use Kraft paper). And if you use Twisted Sister's optional twist to create a kid's project and include a favorite item (toy, clothing) as a child and you will be able to also enter in Crafting Happiness Challenge #49... and who doesn't like a grown up purse when you're a kid.

Found in Pinterest a tutorial by Samantha Clayton at Mixed Up Craft Blog "Handbag Fold Card", with all the dimensions and the YouTube shows how to put it altogether. An fun and easy card to put together.  All you have to do is choose your papers, embellishments and sentiment. Since it was a little purse I decided to put a pocket on the inside for money and/or a gift card. This purce fold, including the purse handle, creates a 5 x 7 card.

To join us at Double Trouble all you need to create a project using Kraft.

Then it's up to you whether you want to include Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist "kids project" for week one, and just add red for week two challenge at Crafting Happiness.

Wishing You a Season of Faith, Hope and Love - Color Dare #394 Shades of Green

Here is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #394 "Shades of Green" and completing in a Virtual Card Class to make a card using the template below with Tracey Pierce, CTMH Consultant.

It was quite a challenge to look for different shades of Greens and patterns to create an Iris Fold template and I think I accomplished it.  For my background and frame used a grey woodgrain that really complemented the green patterns.  In my Spruced Up paperpack there were a couple of trees, perfect to adhere with 3D thin foam tape on the corner leaving space for a sentiment stamped direct on background with New England Ivy ink.

Back a couple years ago (or more) purchased some other templates and special paper; but never put anything together and this class gave me the confidence to pull out these templates and do a few more cards.  The selection of papers to use was the most time consuming, but the template goes pretty fast.

Just Because - Color Dare #392

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #392 "TicTacToe" and using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #366.  Well, I did it again, used the wrong sketch as this challenge already ended at AHSC and I loved this sketch.

This is a sneak peek of one of CTMH's stamp of the month. This stamp set was perfect for the sketch and Column 3 was perfect for the colors (Green Apple, Nectarine, Lemonade + Gold Embellishments).

Flowers and Tag (sneak peek) were stamped with black ink on white daisy cardstock using a masking technique for dimension.  Colored the florals bright toward front and ones masked behind were same colors but faded to appear unfocused as in a photo.  Two of the flowers were fussy-cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape for additional dimension.  A bow as die cut for the tag in green apple, sentiment added at bottom right-hand corner and finished off with some Gold glitter gems.
