Love - Color Dare #328

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #328 inspired by the "Mood Inspirational Photo" and combined it with the MoJo Monday Challenge #508.  To pick up the colors in the photo "Heart Happy" was the perfect paperpack to use for my Valentine's Day card, and added the glacier cardstock for the framing of each of the design papers.  The die cut of the heart was layered with the same design paper as the square and the cut in the middle of the heart was used for an embellishment.  Finished the card off with the "Love" sentiment die cut using the glacier cardstock.

Double Trouble Challenge #20 "Love is in the Air" with The Paper Girls "Sparkle & Shine"

My DT card for Double Trouble Challenge #20 "Love Is In The Air" using optional twist "sparkling and shining" and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #300. And if you use Twisted Sister's twist, you can share with The Paper Girls Challenge #168 "Sparkle and Shine", our partner for this challenge.

Chose to do a step card for a couple other challenges, and thought the AHSC would be perfect when rotating sketch to landscape.

THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "We're celebrating National Hugging Day and encourage you to remember love, peace and kindness as you create."

Please show us your interpretation of "Love Is in the Air". Try using balloons, banners, sunshine, birds, butterflies, clouds, etc. as you spread love, peace and kindness. Hearts and peace signs are acceptable, too! And Twisted Sister's optional twist is, of course, anything sparkly or shiny. And if you choose to use the optional twist you can enter it at The Paper Girls Challenge #
168.

New Secret Sister:  Don't forget to look for the cute image from one of the Secret Sisters within each blog, leave a comment, tell us who you hugged today and be eligible for a special gift.

Be My Valentine - Color Dare #326

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #326 using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #299 and Heart2Heart's "Stamped backgrounds".  I was real proud of the challenges combined and that my layering did not take over the simplicity of the card. When I saw the sketch my memory just pulled me to an old CTMH retired stamp set "Patterned Pennant Flairs" that would work perfectly and with black ink it pulled in all the detail of the floral and gave me the center white panel naturally.  The focal point were all dies that were cut using the shapes as in the sketch, and the sentiment was used in place of the banner.  And of course the splash of my one color, red for the heart.

Thank You - Color Dare #325

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #325 using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday #390 "Bold & Bright".  A lot of die cuts, and switching around of the layers was a real challenge to me.  It wasn't until I decided to use vellum that it all seemed to come together...and I was pleased with it.

The background is the lighter side of Heather cardstock and layered with sugarplum.  Chose to use some of the CTMH Paper Fundamentals "Eggplant" and "Heather" design papers for the two larger panels using some crooked edge rectangular die-cuts, layered with same die cut with sugarplum and eggplant for a shadow.  Used vellum, a silver striped design, for transparency and adhered to the two larger panels.

The smaller rectangular panel was cut using the same die and again layered with sugarplum for a shadow.  Using the same vellum, cut the flower, layered and adhered each with thin foam dots for dimension. Sentiment was die cut and adhered to small panel.

This is just a closer view of the flower to show the detail and the vellum design paper with silver stripes.

Double Trouble Challenge #19 with Creative With Stamps

This is my Design Team card for the Double Trouble Challenge #19 partnering with Creative with Stamps Challenge #34 "Mittens".

Since the Three Little Kittens had lost their mittens my thought was to create a cute tag for a gift box with some mittens.  However, the guidelines at the Creative with Stamps Challenge requires a card...so the tag was attached to another design paper with 3D foam tape and then added to my card base.  This tag made a great pocket for a gift certificate and now the kittens can choose their own favorite mittens, and sentiment left off because it can be used for difference occasions (Birthday, Christmas, Thank You, etc.)

Double Dare Challenge #19 Ingredients:
  • Thing 1 Trouble Maker:  Warm and Cozy - Patterned or Embossed Background and a Stamped or Digital Image
  • Thing 3 Twisted Sister - 3 Little Kittens who lost their mittens - Optional Twist: use a kitten or a mitten or something warm and cozy
  • Thing 2 Double Dare partnering with Creative With Stamps "Mittens" or something warm - Must be a card to be a Winner

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Color Dare #324

Expect innovative and interesting Color Challenges at ColorMyHeart Color Dare in 2019 - Color Challenges with more choice and flexibility, Monochromatic Challenges, our popular TicTacToe and new Inspirational Mood Boards. So let the Party Begin for 2019 with a TicTacToe Challenge using the color palette of "Oh What Fun" CTMH Paperpack.

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #324 combined with Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #389. This paperpack is so bright and cheery and chose two of the brightest design papers for the background and used another for the banner which included all the colors on the Board except for silver. The hearts between the two backgrounds was a zip strip from the paperpack and the sentiment was a PML card which was fussy-cut and layered with a stitched oval die cut by 3D thin foam tape.

We usually use CTMH color names for reference; however, this week we are challenging you to choose TicTacToe row, column or diagonal and any other colors  from the Board that you wish to use, and any Neutrals of your choice.  You are welcome to use any products. We welcome Stampin' Up and all the other color competitors to join our challenge.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration and entrants for both these challenges and join us...we would love to see the projects you create.
