Merry Christmas - MFT Sketch Challenge #668

Here is a Christmas card I made using the cool sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #669 and knew the perfect die for the bottom swirl on sketch was a snowflake swirl die to represent hills of snow. Cut three snowflakes swirls using the blue Dream Makers patterned paper, adhered to white cardstock, and fussy-cut across top snowflake swirl.

Using the same patterned paper cut panel for background, layered with Toffee cardstock and adhered the snowflake swirls with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.

The reindeer peeking die was cut using the polka-dot patterned paper... and to bring out the detail from die edges were distressed with Toffee ink, Eyes, nose and detail scores on reindeer were colored with Copic Black Multi-liner and highlights in eyes using a white Gel pen. Reindeer was adhered under the top snowflake cut and adhered with glue and 3-D thin foam tape.  Sentiment was stamped using Toffee ink direct to background in upper R-H corner.

On the inside of the card base stamped snowflakes on the R-H border.

You're Purrfect - The Outlawz April "Progressive Freebie"

This card was made for The Outlawz April Progressive Freebie using the digital image from Sheepski Designs, Anne's Digital Arts.  Printed 2 images of Virgo, using Copic alcohol-based pens colored the first one in full and fussy-cut.  The second image...the floral lei and butterfly were colored, fussy-cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape to the first image for dimension. Die cut the floral bouquet in two different design papers and another one using white cardstock to piece the green stems and yellow flowers on the white cardstock layer and adhered directly to the blue background design paper.  Added Virgo to the front of the flowers with thin foam sheet, die cut the grass and pieced around Virgo.  Sentiment added on grass using Pewter ink.

After adding Virgo it appeared the white was too noticeable around his whiskers because of my fussy-cut so I took some Sea Glass ink and watercolored inbetween the whiskers and then took the copic YG23 and put a line where the stem was...then I was happy with it.  Virgo is liking his spring time setting.

For the inside of the card, die cut another floral and placed in the bottom corner, and both the inside and the small photos show the dimension of the fussy-cuts.

Welcome - AHSC #257

This card was made for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #257.  This is one of my favorite design papers from Bo-Bunny, one side a floral and the other side a great pastel wood panel.  Used a rectangle die with small circles around the background and layered with cocoa cardstock.   Cut three banners from the same background paper, die cut the pinking on each of the banners, layered with cocoa cardstock and adhered directly to background layering one of them in the middle.   Die-cut a circle and placed my fussy-cut florals from the design paper layering them on the circle, distressed the floral edges and added Wink of Stella to the flowers (see close-up photo below to see glitter).  Used Welcome on the banners instead of the bottom corner of the card to make it look like a welcome sign on a wooden door.

Used the floral design sheet, layered with cocoa cardstock on the bottom border of the inside of the card.

You're Berry Special

Couldn't pass up this cute House and Mouse Stamp and decided to use it for Three Amigo's BlogHop Challenge #1 "Nom, Nom"  using The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #382, but turned to landscape.

Each of the panels were cut to size and then using the using the Elizabeth Craft Designs "Dashing Rectangles" centered them inside to cut the stitching on three of the sides and then centered it again on the fourth side and die cut just on the stitch.

I stamped two of the image, colored the full image with Copic alcohol-based brush pens, fussy-cut the strawberry from the second image, colored and then layered on top of first image with 3D thin foam tape.  Gave great dimension to the strawberry but it didn't photo well.

So Sweet - H2H Feb 2018 Week #2

Wanted my project as DT member of Heart2Heart to be filled with sweetness and love and feel it was accomplished by using the CTMH "Gimme Some Sugar" along with Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #439 and adding a cupcake for the Three Amigo's BlogHop Challenge #11 "nom nom".  My focal panel was dry embossed, layered and adhered to my background.  The cupcake dies were cut with other design papers, glitter paper and PML card from the same paper packet, layered and adhered to the oval embossed panel. Instead of a bow added a couple candy hearts, sentiment and sequins in the upper r-h corner. Card was made with generic sentiment so it can be used for any occasion card.

The DT project for this week at Heart2Heart is a theme "True Love". Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is almost here! Share your true love with us, be it chocolate, a fur baby, or your significant other. You have all month to create and submit. Check out each of the February challenges and earn a badge for Perfect Attendance if you create a card for each  weekly theme during that month.

On the inside of the card stamped a border of hearts and put the frame from the oval die cut to add a sentiment for any occasion.

Thanks - Color Dare #279

Loving these bright colors.  Going through some of my stash found a few stencils but never think of using them...so decided to use one on this challenge for my background with no other thought in mind.  As always I like to use a sketch for my creations and decided to go with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #250.  So this is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #279

The background was sponged with Canary Ink using a stencil and then added the heart and twine die cuts.  The sentiment and one of the bees were stamped and then cut with a coordinating die.  Cut a second bee die and used the backside to draw in the bee similar to the other so that I could replace the bow with some similarity of the sketch.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration for this challenge and would love to see what bright and cheery projects you will create.  This Challenge will be open for (2) weeks...AND you still have time to enter in our #278 color challenge of Bashful, Kraft and Gold Click Here.

At Atlantic Hearts Sketch #250 marks the 10th term for the Design Teams and to celebrate the Top 3 will be awarded with prizes. Some of the Design Team members will be drawing prizes randomly for those that enter their challenge this week.  So make sure you check out Wednesday's post and visit each of the Design Team Member to see who is giving away prizes.

On the inside of the card stamped some images along the border.
