DTC #152 - Particpating with Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Day 4

Join us at Double Trouble Challenge #152 and hop on by and enjoy the CRAFTEINATING inspiration by our Design Team and entrants. This card was inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #550.

DTC is participating with 2023 Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop and here is my Coffee themed card for Day 4.

For the background chose the Snowflake patterned paper from the 6 x 6 paperpack I won from BYSHC.  Using the polka dot patterned paper cut three 1/2" stitched strips and adhered to the snowflake background. In place of the star used a snowflake die cut through the background to suffice for the foliage.

Penguin and To-Go-Cup was stamped in black, colored where needed, slit the penguin's fllipper to place the cup, glued Penguin's flipper around cup and adhered with 3D thin foam tape near bottom of snowflake (the penguin is my star). Added a layer of Lagoon cardstock behind the background and adhered to card base.  Sentiment was stamped in black on white cardstock, layered with Lagoon cardstock and adhered next to the penguin.

Used another snowflake border die border using a Lagoon patterned paper and added to the bottom on the inside of the card.

Hope to see you at Double Trouble "DeJa-BREW" and win another chance at our random draw if you have entered your coffee themed project at the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop... and add a funny pun on your project for another chance.

All our Team Members at Double Trouble have BLOG CANDY!  We hope you'll visit each member's individual blog, view the prize, and leave a comment - BUT - this will not qualify you for the prizes. After viewing each individual blog, go back to the Double Trouble Blog and leave a comment. From those comments, we will randomly select the names of Blog Candy recipients. Please join in the fun. Be sure to comment on Double Trouble Challenge post HERE for your chance to win a giveaway from one of our team members.

And don't forget the perk at Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #23 if you have created a Christmas coffee theme card and have included a holly.

Sending Snowman Kisses - Double Trouble Challenge #73

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #74 "Cuddle Up Day" using Twisted Sister's optional twist to include a warm and cuddly critter in partnering with Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #425 choosing at least three colors from the Inspirational Board.

One of our entrants (Niki1) for Double Trouble had a beautiful fun fold card in which she used Mary Deatherage's tutorial "side fold card".  The fold is so simple and it gives you the flexibility of a square card that is folded to an A2 size card and envelope... I love it.  Click here to see my other "side fold card".

Please go to Double Trouble for the detail of this challenge "Cuddle Up Day", check out the Things and Sneetches inspiration and join us for this fun Challenge.

Choose your Cuttlebug for dry embossing or die cutting and create a project using at least three colors from Color Dare's Inspiration Board.

Challenge yourself to use Twisted Sister's optional twist and include "a warm and cuddly critter".

Our partner for this challenge is "ColorMyHeart Color Dare".

Double Trouble challenge is an earlier open starting January 1st, 2021 to January 17th, 2021.  Color Dare closes on January 14th.

Gnome for the Holidays

Got this Stamp Set just before the Pandemic and was going to use it for all my Christmas cards; however, the patterns on the hats, tree, presents and ornaments were all white space, and it's quite time consuming to fill in with the different patterns.  Decided to use the CTMH gnomes instead and use pattern paper for the background... so this special gnome card is for my favorite daughter and her family.  Although maybe after doing 35-40 cards I might have perfected the coloring... lol.

Once I did all my coloring it was pretty easy to finish my card.  In my stash there was a snowflake embossed piece which became my background layered with ruby cardstock.  A partial fussy-cut on my gnome image, also layered with ruby cardstock and adhered to background with 3D thin foam tape.  Stamped a sentiment first on the embossed background (which I messed up) so ended up re-stamping on cardstock, fussy-cut around words and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

GingerBread House - Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season"

Our partner for this challenge is Bitten By The Bug 2 and even though they usually require the inclusion of a cut from a Cricut, we CUT a holiday Die'al with them to be able to use dies from cutter machines.  However, I uncovered my Cricut and uploaded a SVG file from Dreaming Tree, a GingerBread tree ornament, for the Double Trouble Challenge #73 "Die-lirious Holiday Season" project.

Did not use the cut for a tea light ornament and decided to add a couple "Girl and Boy" Gingerbread images instead.  And of course the colors you choose for your ornament are entirely up to you; so I chose to primarily use non-traditional colors to meet the challenge at ColorMyHeart Color Dare.

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Have a Cup of Cheer

Exciting Change at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop...
The seasonal Blog Hop is moving to an "Anything Goes" theme, however, you still need to include some sort of coffee, tea, cocoa or cider element or sentiment. How simple is that?

There are many super sponsors and there are no limits to the number of projects you enter. The more entries the better your chances for winning Coffee Lovers' random draw prizes. Click HERE to see the variety of sponsors and the gifts they are donating, and don't forget to look for Blog Candy along the way.

Day 4 - P.M. - 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (CLBH #539)

This stamp was a gift from last year's Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop from Unity Stamps and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #341 was perfect. The wintery tree scene made a pretty window against the woodgrain paper. The coffee To Go cup and steam flourish was a great replacement for the floral in the jar. Added a sentiment, keeping with the warm turquois colors.

Don't forget to head back to Double Trouble's Challenge #42 "You Have Us in Stitches" to earn extra chances for our Blog Candy (give-aways). Although Double Trouble is not a sponsor in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, we are giving away Blog Candy in addition to our usual random draw prize. To be eligible all you have to do is to make a comment on our challenge post (Click HERE) and tell us what your favorite Double Trouble Challenge has been or challenge you would like us to create. And...if you add a comment to our Design Team and Guest Designer blogs on Challenge #42 you will get additional chances to our Draw. We have lots of give-a-ways, the more participants, the more give-a-ways.
