Merry Christmas - ColorMyHeart Color Dare #416

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #416 "TicTacToe" using the Comfort & Joy CTMH design papers for my first of many Christmas cards.  My plan is to use Comfort & Joy paperpack with many sketch challenges.

This card was made using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #478. My background was the poinsettia design paper and chose to use a gold dotted vellum paper for the three panels in the sketch so as not to hide the beautiful background.  Cut the larger banner with a pretty die using one of the other design papers, layered it with French Vanilla to show off the scallops and hearts and adhered with thin foam tape to background.  Cut another scalloped die around a flower from the poinsettia design paper and adhered with 3D regular foam tape.  Cut a banner die, stamped the sentiment in scarlet ink and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.

Please pop over to ColorMyHeart Color Dare and Try Stampin' on Tuesday to see DT members' inspiration, along with other participants that have entered these challenges.

Color My Heart Color Dare challenges are carried forward for two weeks so if you didn't share your project the first week you still have another week to enter that challenge...current challenges are on the side bar of the challenge blog.

I love all those layers! I love the velum to soften the base and help pop the focal print in the center.

Great use of the sketch and the vellum with gold dots just adds that special sparkle to your colour dare challenge card.

Such gorgeous poinsettia paper, Suzanne!!! I like how you used vellum for the three horizontal elements so that your pattern paper can show through. Is the die you used for your big banner an actual banner die, or did you use a straight die to fancy up the banner's edges? I love how it turned out! Thank you for sharing your beautiful card and your creativity with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna

What a beautiful Christmas card. I love the decisions you made - the vellum, the exquisite die cut banner with the french vanilla behind it. Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.
