Challenge #154 - Partnering with Tuesday Morning Sketches

This is my Design Team card celebrating Pins and Needles Day at Double Trouble "Keep Calm and Stitch On" and using Twisted Sister's optional twist to use our partner's Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #734.  The choice of colors were from the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #475.

Made a recent purchase of stitched poinsettia dies in particular for this challenge but didn't have embroidery thread and decided to use a silver pen and draw in the stitches.

Here is my first card wherein additional colors were used in error and didn't notice until writing my blog post... thus another card was created using Two Only Color Board (photo above).  This was not a problem because I still needed Christmas cards.

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble and ColorMyHeart Color Dare Design Teams inspiration, and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there.

Also don't forget to check out our partner at Tuesday Morning Sketch for their pretty sketch and maybe you can combine these challenges as well.

Beautiful cards, I really love the pink/red one with the silver. I think the stitching is so pretty! (Even though I will admit I HATE doing it!)

OK - I think you got me - is that faux stitching?!? Well it looks great either way!

The drawn in stitched lines look so realistic! Love the red and pink poinsettias :)

Wow, the drawn lines look just like real stitching and you've shown us that you don't need thread with these types of dies! Thanks for sharing with us at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and we hope you'll visit again soon.

Wow, Sue, these cards are fabulous! You know how I love stitchery! I have one of these new stitching dies but thought I would never find time to use it. Learning about your technique is going to be the best way for me to complete my cards. Congrats on meeting the requirements of all these challenges, too. -- Melanie R.

How genius (& pretty!) to use the silver pen (& gold) for the faux stitching. Both cards are just gorgeous!

Wow! Both cards are lovely but I think that 2nd one is GORGEOUS! The bold colors really make the gold stitching pop. Just beautiful. The pink card is lovely, feels frosty. Thank you for joining us at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
