Color Dare Challenge #568 "Journey + 2 Color"

This is my Design Team project for Color Dare Challenge #568 "Journey + 2 Colors" and combined it with the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #626.  Journey is the new color of the year and the only thing I had in my stash was the cardstock so my first cut was on the r-h border panel.  Many attempts of photos taken with different lighting and no great match to the Journey color patch below in Board, but it is Journey.

As I was going through the newer paperpacks the florals in the Memory Lane were so pretty and one of the florals had two colors that went so well with Journey. Chose the white floral with Sage leaves and Honey Butter background with a brush of toffee... used both sides which was perfect for this sketch. Also cut the opposite side for each of the corner panels giving each a folded look of the opposite side of the design sheet. Another design paper from True Love paperpack had decorative half circle which was fussy-cut and bordered with Sage Cardstock. All these pieces were adhered to Sage cardstock and then adhered to the card base.

Looking through my newer stamp sets decided on a gnomes swinging, a nice size for the focal point. Stamped on the patterned paper and a second on white cardstock, fussy cut gnome only, colored with Copic Sketch brushes and adhered on top of stamped panel with 3D thin foam tape for dimension. A match of colors for Journey was a real experiment with Copic sketch pens... will have to practice on that one a little more.

The sentiment was made in Adobe Photoshop, printed on the yellow patterned paper, cut, bordered with Sage and adhered to bottom r-h corner of card base. On the inside of card used a strip of Journey cardstock along with the floral design paper.

Please hop on over and join us at Color Dare's Color Board #564 and check out the Design Teams inspiration, and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there.

I love the cute gnome on the swing with that super cute sentiment. I like your use of the sketch too. I found lighting hard too. In different lighting it looks blue and other times it looks green. The joy of this gorgeous colour.
