Thank You - Double Trouble Challenge #2

Join us this week at DOUBLE TROUBLE Thing 1 challenges you to "DO NOT Use Patterned or Design Papers", and Twisted Sister wants you to use a die so that you are able to combine this challenge to our Thing 2 which will be pairing up with Three Amigos BlogHop Challenge #15.

Remember Thing 2 and Thing 3 are always optional, however, if you submit your project to both challenges you will get an extra chance to win the random draw for a Bag of Things.  It's your choice.

Off to my stash...chose a floral image previously colored at a Copic class.  Now off to my background techniques...found this yellow background which was an excellent match to the yellow in the floral (see tutorial for this technique under products used).  My cardstock was chosen to pull in another color from the image and decided on Lagoon for the outline panels. Okay, Double Trouble "Thing 1" challenge was completed.

Off to my dies...cut both the smaller and larger panel with a stitched border die, and this met the requirement for the Three Amigos BlogHop Challenge "Thing 2" for submission.

The floral panel was fussy-cut around the tallest flower, placed on the outline panels, and then adhered to the background with thin foam sheet for dimension. Decided to use another die for my sentiment in the Lagoon color so as not to cover the pretty floral.

On the inside of the card I used the scraps from my border die cuts, the floral image was a printed copy of the photo taken of my copic coloring and placed in the corner.  It's totally satisfying when you use scraps for inside of card, they look so much better than in a waste basket.

The die cut borders are so pretty and your colouring is fabulous. The choice of papers co-ordinate so well.

I love those jars containing the flowers - they look so perfectly real. Your selection of florals is spot on. Everything about this card is awesome - it reminds me of browsing a street in a small village and a scene that would be viewed in a front window of a tiny shop. The outline co-ordinates perfectly with the jars and flowers. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ❤️

This is really pretty. Not seen the waxed paper technique before. Just found this new challenge too and hope to find time to join in. Hugs Mrs A.
