Have a Happy Day

This Mother's Day card was created by combining the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge with My Favorite Things Color Challenge #92.  Such a pretty color combination and the sketch was perfect to use these colors.  Used a generic sentiment so it can be used for a mother, friend or close relationship to celebrate Mother's Day.  Layers and panels were cut pretty much to the dimension of the layout and the four colors were right on.  The Steel Blue was the only questionable one but thought the Slate color came pretty close.

There were a couple extra flowers I had colored to use for the smaller circle on the front of the car; but decided to use the small circle for a sentiment, and added those flowers to the bottom of the inside of the card instead and stamped a couple of the foliage from the same stamp set in the blue.

Such a beautiful card and I love the flowers you included inside!
Thanks for your comment on my blog and the question about the baby oil.
Since I used Prismacolor pencils that are blendable...I sometimes use baby oil and q-tips to blend them when I'm finished coloring. It changes the look of the coloring from pencil to something a little more smooth, and you can combine shades that way. Hope that answers your question.

Those flowers look almost like silk - and I’d say your colour matching is bang on. Beautiful card design.
