Sweet Wishes This Christmas - Double Trouble #72 "Something, Anything, Everything"

Here is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #72 "Something, Anything, Everything" using Twisted Sister's optional twist "create a project that celebrates white, sparkly flakes of snow" and I chose Heart2Heart "Eat, Drink and Be Merry" for my partnering challenge.

This was one of the images from a Copic Coloring Class taken last year which I never completed.  Perfect for my "Snow" card.  The image was colored using a number of Copic Sketch pens and then fussy-cut. For the background I used white cardstock, cut a background die with holes and layered it with lagoon color cardstock.   Cut (2) trees, one with white and the other with Lagoon and then pieced in the white.

Penguin was layered with 3D thin foam tape for dimension and tree adhered directly to the background.  Cut a couple landscape dies and added glitter for bright sparkly snow.  "Sweet" sentiment was cut using lagoon and black for a shadow and another sentiment on white cardstock, layered with black, stamped with black ink and adhered directly to background.

Hello - Color Dare #422 "TicTacToe"

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #422 "TicTacToe" using the colors from the CTMH Paperpack "Serenity" and combining with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #396.  After the selection of the design papers I chose Column 1 (Blue Belle, Toffee, Sapphire) was my TicTacToe.  Nah, it wasn't that simple... several cuts of design papers made before final decision.

Background and sentiment frames were cut using sapphire cardstock and layered with the design papers.  The flower was fussy-cut from the beautiful floral design sheet, and a second flower was fussy-cut and adhered with thin foam tape for dimension.  The small Toffee doily was the other side of the floral design paper which was fussy-cut and layered behind the floral with thin foam tape.  Sentiment was a die which I layered with toffee and sapphire and some gold sequins were added.

Give Thanks - Double Trouble Challenge #71 TicTacToe "All the Trimmings"

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #71 "TicTacToe - All the Trimmings" using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #395 and Twisted Sister's optional twist to include a sentiment.  My TicTacToe choice was the 2nd column (Leaves, Free, Stamp).

I love to use many coordinating design papers in a sketch and the CTMH "Bloom With Grace" paperpack was perfect.  The sketch had one layer as torn and after several combinations of the design papers I decided on the sangria design paper against the lighter little flower paper... torn paper is a first for me and I like the look.  The rest of the layers were cut with other design papers from the packet and instead of a banner I used the leaves on either side of the focal point.

Me and my gnomes... couldn't resist using the "Gnome Matter" stamp set one more time for a Fall card, and the sentiment was chosen to meet the optional theme of 'Give Thanks/ Thankful/ Grateful' at The Paper Funday Challenge #22 "ATG" .

Please go to Double Trouble for the detail of the challenge and enjoy the Things and Sneetches inspiration for this fun Challenge.

Thankful - Color Dare #420 "Shades of Orange"

Here is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #420 I bought this pumpkin patch die back more than a year ago and never got to use it; so how appropriate it will be for our "Shades of Orange" color challenge.  This was a fairly easy card to put together except for deciding what background to give it... decided on a darker neutral background to make the orange more prominate.  Pumpkin die was cut using a retired Paper Fundamentals design paper and then backed and fussy-cut with Tangerine.  Finished it with a word die "thankful" using both espresso and tangerine cardstock and scattering a few sequins on the background.

From Our Gnome to Yours - Color Dare #419

Here is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #419 using a combination of new CTMH Paperpacks making a winter scene for one of the Gnomes.  I am so in love with the gnome stamps and most of my Christmas cards will be sent to my family/friends gnome.

The CTMH Fancy Border dies were used to create my hills of snow and trees using design papers... and another cut of design paper to use for the sky.  The sky paper had flecks of dots of Toffee; but I inked over them with uni-ball gold pen which was also used on the gnome's hat, boots and bow on the gift. The rest of the gnome was colored with Copic Sketch alcohol brush pens to match the colors, Gift (Evergreen).

Good Morning "We Just Need Coffee" - Color Dare #418

Here is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #418 using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #481.  In the sketch I saw two Coffee-To-Go cups filled with pumpkin spice and everything nice. I played with many different combination of colors and patterns to accomplish the rest of the sketch...and here is my finished card.  This will be used for a Coffee Gift Card or invite for a morning coffee with a neighbor or friend. Changed the sentiment from "I" to a "We".

Didn't have any Cinnamon cardstock nor ink so it left me with one choice less; however I was able to create closest to the color by using a combination of Copic alcohol-base pens... think I came pretty close; but Cinnamon is on my next CTMH order.

My Gnome Christmas for 2020

My daughter and I got together at their Cabin summer home this past weekend and enjoyed three days of scrapping together.  My goal was to get a good start on my Christmas cards using the Christmas Gnomes and the beautiful CTMH "Comfort and Joy" paperpack.  My sneak-peek... I was able to complete a sample card of each of the gnomes along with 45 backgrounds prepared for placement of the same gnomies... each design background being different.

Above are the first three completed cards for which two of them will be entered in Heart2Heart October Challenges "Christmas is Coming Early" and "Not So Basic Black".

Spooky Cute - Double Trouble Challenge #69 partnering with The Paper Girls

Love the Bat Rainbow of Colors and decided to use them all.  Twisted Sister's optional twist was to use a cute image and an extra chance for random draw if you did not include a Bat... that was not difficult to exclude, but I did use a spooky spider.  Cut one of the design papers from Got Candy for the main background and another design paper for the circle layered with a black circle for a shadow.  Stamped, cut the image and sentiment on my Brother Scan and Cut, colored with a variety of Copic brush pens and then adhered both with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.  My last add was a candy sticker on top of the circle die cut.

Please go to Double Trouble for the detail of the challenge and enjoy the Things and Sneetches inspiration for this fun Challenge.  This challenge is open from Monday, October 19th through November 1st.

Select at least (3) colors, use Twisted Sister's optional twist to dress things up with a "cute image"; and don't go batty.  And as long as it's a Halloween card share with our partner at The Paper Girls.

Happy Birthday using AHSC Sketch #390

Here is my interpretation of Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #390 using one of the design papers from Every Little Thing for the background of the Butterfly. The frames were Mixed Edge Rectangle dies which were cut alternating Julep and Wisteria cardstock.

Just purchased this beautiful butterfly die and chose to use this as the focal point instead of a floral.  Three butterflies were cut using Wisteria, light and dark side, and another in White Daisy to layer with the lighter Wisteria.  The dark Wisteria butterfly was adhered directly to the background for a shadow, and the lighter one was adhered with glue to the body of the butterfly, leaving the wings free.  Sentiment was cut from Wisteria, light and dark, and adhered offset for a shadow.  Gems, bitty sparkles and glitter were added to butterfly and gems to the bottom right-hand corner.
