This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble Challenge #180 "Stitch It Up" using the second Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #605.
A 4" x 5.25" white cardstock was used to stamp the foliage in Evergreen ink with some masking and stamped the bird using Sapphire. A second bird was stamped with Sapphire and a pine cone with Nutmeg ink. Both images were fussy-cut and set aside until I decided on what I would do for the red panel in the sketch. Thought about a score line, but then looked at my dies for a stitch and found one that was a cross stitch and did not have a cut... perfect. Placed the stitch die approximatel 3/4" apart and in proximity of the panel in the sketch.
The bird and the pine cone were then adhered over the top of the stamped foliage and bird using 3D thin foam tape for dimension. Stamped in gold the splash of color randomly on each side of the stitched panel; but the gold did not show up well, so re-stamped using Sapphire ink... the change of color pleased me. Sentiment was stamped using Sapphire ink in the bottom right-hand corner.
Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble. Have fun with our challenge requirement and play along with optional twists to be eligible to enter your project in our partner's challenge while earning additional chances to our random draw.
Check out the Design Teams inspirations, and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there.
