The Magic of Winter - H2H Cold Days Warm Heart

For the month of January this week's Heart2Heart Challenge is "Cold Days, Warm Heart."

Please join this week's challenge AND you have all month to create to be eligible for recognition as a Top 10 for January Challenges. For other inspirations please hop on by to see all the DT members and participant creations.

Looking back when we lived in the Southtowns or Snow Belt of Buffalo, New York many times we watched from our windows the snowflakes falling from the sky...though the weather was cold it was a warm fuzzy feeling inside...the magic of Winter.

Experimented with a couple of different embossing folders and techniques for coloring, but chose this as my final.  My other experiments won't go unused...just a head start for my 2017 Christmas Card stash.

Dry embossed the background, sponged on Glacier (sounds cold) ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and layered on Glacier cardstock.  The sentiment focal point was a die cut from Cricut Design Space, using variety of cardstock...Glacier for the frame, White Daisy for the snowflakes, and a white glitter paper for the Sentiment.  After assembled added Wink of Stella to the frame and snowflakes.

One of my favorite stamps were used for the inside of the card and stamped with Glacier Ink.

Love the way you inked and then embossed the raised image - it gives it so much additional depth (and I bet that's even more evident in person than in the photo...)
Everything about this card says "brrr" - It's "Brrr-iffic"!
