Enjoy Your Special Day - Happy Times

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #192Join us in this week’s challenge combining the colors, Fern, Canary or Goldrush, Cotton Candy or Hollyhock, Glacier, White Daisy and Gold (all and only) until Thursday, May 12, 2016 to create and link up your project. These colors are all in "Happy Times" (a Free PaperPak as a May CTMH special with $60 order)...look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge. We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors...and still join in the fun.

Combined the Color Challenge to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #158.  Please hop by to see the many DT member inspirations and join in the challenges...you still have time.

Easy choice for design paper and the combination of colors "Happy Times" and a great sketch embracing the floral background. The surrounding squares around the focal point were stamped with glacier ink blot splatters and adhered to background.  For the focal point...a floral arrangement from the design paper, fussy-cut, layered and adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape on a white panel with a couple of stamped flowers and ink blot splatters, framed and adhered with 3D Thin Foam tape to the squares below.  Gems were added to middle for flowers.  A zip strip was added at the bottom of the card, and a sentiment in place of a bow.

On the inside of the card, more ink blot splattering, stamping of flowers and wire fencing along bottom and right-side of card, and space left for a personal note.

All of the discussion and decision making over this card finally resulted in a very pretty and cheerful card. And I love the way you decorated the inside. Lovely!

I love how you have made the splatters such a focal point of your card! Thanks for sharing with us at AHSC.

Sue, this is gorgeous! I have pulled out this bold, flowered paper several times and backed away from it but I love what you did here! It's a perfect background for the sketch and the flower just offset becomes the focal point. Lovely! Thanks for sharing your talent with us at AH once again.
