Retirement has created a challenge addict, which takes up a fair amount of my time. Thanks to innovative and creative ideas from many Design Teams, my CTMH daughter, and my friends. Challenges give me a jump-start on many of my cards and turns on my creativity to come up with my own unique designs. Note Card - No Sentiment - AHSC #99 Top 3 Winner
Update 04/22/15, this card was sent to a 1960 Classmate's wife in hopes to lift up their spirits at a bad time in their lives Email notification "In the past few weeks his wife of 52 years was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Lynne is currently in a rehab unit in Cincinnati for 4 months receiving chemotherapy and rehab twice weekly at the University of Cincinnati. Wayne has requested prayers from our class members as it is her only real hope...Wayne takes the cards received to her and they read them together."
A Sketch Challenge with NO sentiment from Atlantic Hearts #99. I was going to add a sentiment but stuck to the sketch and decided to keep it as a Note Card, or a generic card which could be used for many different occasions. Leaving it open for a future card seemed like a good idea to me because I don't have an immediate need for this card and wanted to use this pretty paper...
CTMH "Blossom" Paperpak was used throughout the card, even using the zip strip at the top of one of the patterned papers for the ribbon. On the ribbon Wink of Stella to add some sparkle. Butterflies were images from Design Center "Ultimate Creative Sampler" in white cardstock and glitter paper. The white was outlined with a pen similar to the glitter paper color, glued together in the center and wings slightly folded, body liquid glass, and 3D Thin Foam tape to set on card. Three bubbles made from hole punch glitter paper and liquid glass. The frame of card was from Paper Fundamentals "Adventure" pear color.
