Color Dare #658 - Just Because

This is my Design Team project for Color Dare #658. I did a search on what two colors go well with gray... well the first answer was Pink and Yellow as they can add warmth, joy, and a playful touch to your card designing... so this was my two colors of choice. Additionally I chose Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #635 and changed the arched window to an oval with one larger floral.    

I was inspired by a background I had seen recently on Pinterest; but wasn't able to find it again to give credit to the paper crafter... so my memory of this background is pretty close and I am happy with it. 

Most of my older CTMH paper packets have been sorted either by theme or colors so the packets will not always be identified. However, if memory serves me right, the pink floral has been a long-time Mix-In paper and the yellow a newer Mix-In paper. The gray papers were still in my Love Story paperpack, along with the floral sticker. 

Chose a black cardstock to apply the shapes but spent quite a bit of time on getting the shapes to line up. Adhered the shapes to the black cardstock leaving a peek of black exposed between each shape. 

Two ovals die cut one black and one gray patterned paper and adhered to background.  The floral was a sticker; fussy-cut, and adhered to oval. Different parts of flower were glued and some 3D foam tape to add dimension. Sentiment was stamped in black bordered with black and the inside right-hand border of card base decorated with the gray patterned paper.
