Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #138 "Krafty Crafting" using brown paper Bags, Kraft paper, or something similar, and Twisted Sister's optional twist to include "an Animal". This challenge we are partnering with The Crafter's Cafe "Animals".
Looking through my Copic class incomplete projects I found an adorable Whimsy "Little Lion" not yet colored. This was an extra image purchase during a Copic Class at our local Scrapbook store with Jennifer Dove... again, an easier task when you have visual instructions on the coloring; but I got through the sample of the coloring and think it turned out pretty good. I chose this image because I was planning on doing a monochromatic in Browns. The Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #606 with a Optional Twist of "Dies and/or Punches" was an excellent sketch for the Little Lion.
I had so many choices of Kraft and Brown patterned papers and putting the patterns together was a little time consuming but happy with the choices... the banner being the most difficult. The banner was made up of two Mix-In papers and Mocha cardstock. On the striped pattern the edges were die cut using a Tailored Stitch Die spacing it so I could use one of the Zip Strips in between the scallops. Using Mocha cardstock cut another panel to place behind the stripe/zip strip.
Adhered the Little Lion to the completed Sketch with 3D thin foam tape to lift up the paws and the head rounding for dimension. Sentiment was added directed to patterned paper using Black ink and the inside of the card, bottom border was lined with the dots pattern and another scallop cut.
Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble Challenge #133 "Pinch Proof" and check out the Design Teams inspiration, and then let us see what you create... hope to see you there. You may also want to hop on over to The Crafter's Cafe and check out their Design Team projects too.

Great coloring of that little bear, the "texture" looks great, very nice monochromatic card!
Great coloured texture on the lion! Browns are hard... there are a lot of shades of Kraft paper, for sure. Thanks for linking up with us at TSOT and MTTC :)
Me again, sorry, I realized that was a lion, not a bear after I posted!
What a sweet birthday card! The lion image is too cute! Thanks for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!
Suzanne, I love EVERYTHING about your card! Such a great job coloring the lion (your Copics class paid off!), and your choice of papers. I especially like the horizontal band you created with the striped and dotted papers!! Thank you for sharing your cute card with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday where you met both our sketch AND optional punch/die challenge elements!!! -Donna
What a darling lion, Sue! I loved that you found an image waiting to be colored. You did a beautiful job of it!! And all the patterns you put together worked wonderfully :)
Brilliant card. Thanks for sharing it with us at Critter Crazy Janet DT
