Congratulations - DTC #137 "Mother Goose"

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #137 "Mother Goose" in celebration of Mother Goose Day. From this list of 109 Rhymes I chose Eeny, Meeny, Miney Mo and used the element Tiger. I had so much fun with this card using Crafty Chemist Design pop-up card; but modified measurements for an A2 card.

Twisted Sister's Optional Twist is to include at least one heart shape, the word heart and/or or the word love on your project to earn another chance in Double Trouble's random draw and be eligible to enter in Heart's Quest Challenge Blog #29 for another chance.  A heart was placed on the outside and inside sentiments.

Happy Spring - CD #546 "TicTacToe"

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #546 "TicTacToe using the CTMH paperpack "Cosette".   The cup with flowers determined my choice of colors (using the diagonal French Vanilla, Mist and Peach) and also determine the focal point for the Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #603 including the optional twist to add a sentiment.  Loved the simplicity of the sketch and with plan in place this was probably one of the fastest cards I've created.

The patterned paper in Mist and French Vanilla was perfect for the Cup of Flowers background.  Two banners were cut... the top was Mist adhered to a French Vanilla border and the bottom in French Vanilla using a decorative stitched die in Mist.  Sentiment was added to the lower banner.

Fussy-cut the cup of flowers for less trim on the edges and adhered with 3D Foam Tape in a couple layers to add dimension and roundness.

For the inside of the card I added a pocket for a card gift or money using the same patterned paper in the background.

Especially For You " Double Trouble Challenge #136 "Celebrate a Special Lady"

This is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #136 "Celebrate a Special Lady".  Twisted Sister's optional twist is to include flowers in your project.  If you include flowers in your project you can also share your card with our collaborating partner at Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #4.

While looking for a pretty floral stamp I came across this Butterfly Blooms stamp set and the photo on the set showed one color on the flowers outside of the butterfly... perfect for the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Board #543 "Black and White + Choice of 1 Color".  Floral was stamped with Memento Black Ink and my choice of color was turquoise using Copic brush pens.

Lagoon was used to frame the floral image and sentiment die cut. CAS and beautiful, but this was my third attempt to finalize the coloring of the card below... confused?  Read on...

That just seemed too simple and wanted another color so my option was to use the free "Gold".  So I added gold in the lines of the butterfly's wing only.  Wasn't happy with the gold so set the floral aside and stamped another floral.

Decided to color all the flowers in turquoise on the new floral.  Wasn't happy with it... too blue and needed another color. Pulled out of my stash another gold pen which was a prettier gold, penned away on all the lines in the floral and butterfly.  It was cool for my second stamped image.

Decided to cut along the edge of the floral, Framed with black cardstock and another frame of Lagoon in back of the black.  Sentiment cut in White and adhered to corner.  The black corner and gold toned down the all blue... I was happy with it so you would think this was the final, right?

Nope! My review of the Double Trouble and Beautiful Blossoms collaboration I noted there were three colors on the corner of their Mood Board which inspired me. So I picked up the floral I had set aside and added the other two colors in the flowers and leaves that made up the right side of the butterfly's wing.

Since I wasn't pleased with the gold used initially on the left wing I added the brighter gold over it and also added the new gold on the floral centers on the other wing. Decided to use the same layout, cut along the edge of the floral, Framed with black cardstock and adhered to the White card base. Sentiment cut in White and adhered to corner.

Well, this is where the confusion ends... Since my first attempt was used for experiementing with colors and gold, I lost the simplicity of the original card I had in mind for this Double Trouble Challenge... so I stamped another floral, CAS and my DT card for Double Trouble #136. The plus... I have three beautiful cards for Special Ladies.

I Smell a Birthday - CD #544 "Triple Play"

Here is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #544 "Triple Play" combined with the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #601 with optional twist to use pastel colors.  The only pastel in this color challenge was pink so I used that to border each panel and the flowers.

I was determined to use the Stamp of the Month "Little Stinkers" as a sneak peek for the month of May. Decided to stamp and mask one of the stinkers on the tree stump, added florals and leaves to each side to take on the edge of the circle image in the sketch, colored with copic sketch pens and cut frame using a circular decorative edge.

Could not find patterned papers using these colors so resorted to cardstock for my two panels and backed them both with a little pink.  Cut another circular frame and off set the one with the image to pull in a little more pink. Used a gelly roll white pen to hightlight the eyes and dotted the centers of each flower. Had thought about stamping something on the rosemary cardstock but I was happy with the clean look. Finished it off with a stitched arrow adhered with 3D thin foam tape to finish the similarity of the sketch.

On the inside of the card stamped a few florals and leaves in the bottom right-hand corner.

This 2nd card was my experimental masking and color choices for the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #544 "Triple Play". Rather than throw in my stash I decided to use this with another sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #520. The Harbour and Rosemary cardstock were both adhered to Peach for a border, cut a square in a Mix-Up design paper for the square and cut the scalloped frame around my image. Ferns were cut using Harbour and Rosemary cardstock to place around the image.

On the inside flowers were stamped and colored along the right-hand side border.

When it Rains Look for Rainbows "Pop-Up Card"

While making a Design Team card for a future Double Trouble Challenge I had one more sentiment printed and cut on a scalloped hexagon.  So one more Rainbow card in the making... using the same paperpack CTMH "Story Book" however a striped patterned rainbow paper instead, layered on a black cardstock border and then to the card base. There was sticker in the packet of a pretty row of flowers in rainbow colors which was adhered with 3D foam tape to the Scallop Hexagon die cut and adhered some grass below the flowers.

When it rains, it pours and the flowers appear, but now we have to Look for the Rainbow... so easy, open the card... there's your rainbow and sunshine.  Pop-ups were made using Paper Smooches rainbow die and Whimsy's Up In The Clouds dies.

When It Rains Look for Rainbows - DTC #135 "Roy G. Biv Color Challenge"

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #135 "Roy G. Biv Color Challenge" using the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #702.  The CTMH paperpack "Story Book" was perfect and magical for this Color Challenge as it had all the soft colors of a rainbow. Rotated the TMSC to landscape and decided to make all four panels using the same paper, backed them with Sapphire cardstock and adhered them to the card base.

The Sticker Sheet for this paperpack had a pretty rainbow with clouds.  The sentiment was created in PhotoShop, printed on White Daisy cardstock and then used a decorative die to cut the oval label for the sentiment.  Backed the oval with Sapphire cardstock, adhered with glue directly to the background and then adhered the rainbow above the sentiment with 3D thin foam tape for dimension.
