Happy Bird-Day - Double Trouble #112 - Something Anything Everything

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #112 "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" with Twisted Sister's optional twist using birds and frames as my repeated images.  ColorMyHeart Color Dare #497 "TicTacToe" was selected as a previous DTC partner and my TTT was Row 3 Flamingo, Lemonade and Capri. Unfortunately I missed the deadline on a chosen sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  

I had the perfect stamp and die set for the sketch and able to use for Twisted Sister's "repeat image"; however, had to go with a little bigger than an A2 card turned to landscape. Stamped three images, cut with thin die, colored each frame in three of the colors from ColorMyHeart Color Dare "5 Pack" and adhered to the polka dot background design paper with 3D thin foam tape.  

Going through my stash found a little birdie proportionate to the frames and stamped several birdies on design paper and cardstock using the same colors as the frames. The birdie stamp was only facing one direction so used a technique to do a reverse stamp for two of the colors, stamping lightly and using a Copic multi-pen 0.03 to outline the full image. The birdies were adhered with 3D thin foam tape in the frames, added hearts in the one frame and sentiment in another frame.  

Used a zip strip from the same paperpack for the two left-hand side strips. The additional birdies were placed on the border on the inside of the card.

Friendship Makes Life Colorful - Color Dare #498 "Shades of Green, Blue, Purple"

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #498. The Color Dare's color palette reminded me of a paintbrush image we colored at Jennifer Dove's December 2021 Copic Boot Camp Class and all I had to do was to use shades of the three colors... how fun is that. 

The rainbow stream of colors was a personal add-on with shades of green, blue and purple using Copic alcohol brush pens... this rainbow stream was not a part of the paintbrush stamp. Masked the paintbrush rainbow image, stamped on various ink blot flairs using inks of the same colors, added a sapphire border and adhered to my card base.  

The sentiment was from a very old retired stampset.  Stamped on white cardstock using the same ink colors, overlapping each color, added a sapphire border and adhered with 3D thin foam tape at the base of the rainbow stream of colors. 

On the inside of card, stamped various ink blot flairs at the the bottom and right-hand side.

Happy Holidays - Double Trouble Challenge #111 partnering with Crafter's Cafe

Here is my  Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #111 "Let's Brown Bag It" adding Twisted Sister's optional twist "dots and/or stripes" using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #555 and partnering with The Crafter's Cafe "Dots and/or Stripes".  The sketch was a good choice for the CTMH Spruced Up paperpack..  

    

Selected the striped design and a complementary paper for the background panels. Adhered them, using a heavier textured Kraft paper for the card base from CTMH Hope & Kindness paperpack. Die cut the zip strip for the scalloped edge in the sketch and adhered between the background papers.  Replaced the box and circle in the sketch with a bird on a branch with a pine cone behind.  Decided to make this a Holiday card stamping a sentiment "Happy Holidays" on a wood grain paper, bordered with the Kraft and adhered to upper left-hand corner of card.  CAS and handsome card.

Beautiful - Color Dare #496 6 pack

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #496 "Six Pack" wherein you only have to choose three of the colors.  However the "Hope and Kindness" CTMH Paperpack has many design papers that include most of the colors in this color palette which was perfect for my Beautiful die. 

Chose the Beautiful word die because it appeared it might be a quick and easy color challenge project to complete.  Chose one of the design papers that had many of the colors in the palette blended with light and dark.  Adhered the die on black cardstock and pieced the letters only. Usually I don't mind piecing but there were a number of very small pieces to adhere. I wanted to open up some of the outer letters to show the background so there was some fussy cutting done from the initial cut. 

I initially was going to use the floral background but just seemed too busy.  Fortunately, my friend and I, went to my daughter's cabin to scrap for three days so had help and we all agreed on the polka-dot. Since I didn't use the floral on the background decided to fussy-cut a couple of the flowers and adhere directly on two of the corners of the background paper. Done and BEAUTIFUL.

Be a Unicorn in a Field of Horses - Double Trouble Challenge #109

Here is my DT Card for Double Trouble Challenge #109 "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with a choice to use rainbow colors and/or pink inspirational photo provided by our partner for this challenge Colorful Options. My choice was to use rainbow colors. 

 

Decided to use a Unicorn stamp because of the sentiment "Be a Unicorn in a Field of Horses"... and thought a Outer Stair Step fun fold card would be perfect for the field of unicorns.

Stamped all the Unicorns, pulled out my Brother Scan N Cut, colored each with rainbow colors and set aside.  Next used several dies to cut the rainbow, clouds and grass, colored using the same colors with some blending and set aside.  

Now for the fun part of fitting in all the pieces so they show nicely when folded or open.  The sentiment was all one stamp, and couldn't decide where it was going to fit; then a lightbulb came on... why not cut the original sentiment stamp to place on the clouds, leaving more space for my Unicorns on the bottom half... perfect.  Spent more time on the placement of the unicorns and the only thing I wished I had done previous to adhering the cut pieces is that I did the sky and grass inking first... next time.  Added shimmer to the rainbow and smaller cloud.
