Just For You - Color Dare #471

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #471 and using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #533.  And this is the last day of the Blog Hop "Just for You".  Thank you Amy and Design Team for your dedication and hard work in another Fall/Winter Season... already looking for the Spring/Summer.

When I looked at the 3 colors it brought to mind the CTMH paper Packs "Love Story" in Black and Mink.  They both had a great choice of design patterns to choose from and my choice of + one color (Blue) which is striking with greys and blacks.

On the sticker sheet there was a small black and white floral... the sticker was a little bit smaller than the cup, but it worked.  Adhered the floral to white cardstock, die cut the cup, colored the flowers using three shades of blue and the leaves in greys.

Now the choices of the design papers for the other panels on sketch. The larger background was a simple design paper so as not to take away from the pretty floral cup.  Cup was layered with 3D thin foam tape on the sides and the middle doubled to allow a rounded dimension of the cup.

Used the lacey zip strip for a doily affect and then added a black design paper between them and placed the bow in the middle of the side panel.  The cup also had a metal die for the coffee/tea steam and just matched that up with the paper used on the side panel.  The sentiment die cut and added to upper right-hand corner.

Love the die cut teacup with the flowers. The blue really pops against the neutrals.

Lovely card, Sue! It reminds me of my mother's English bone china teacup collection. Thank you for joining us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #533.

Suzanne, you got me at aqua! Love how you highlighted your cup with the flowers colored in. Using the black strip with lace on both sides really added an impact to your card! I love how you interpreted the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch and used one of my favorite colors so skillfully!!! Thank you for sharing! -Donna
