Plant a Seed of Friendship - Color Dare #442 "LOC"

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #442 "Love of Color" using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #504 with optional twist "Nature".  Color Dare asks you to use at least three of the colors from the Palette and my choice is Sundance, Paprika and Sapphire.

Stamped two of the tag images, colored with Copic Sketch brushes, fussy-cut the tags and then attached to the tag thin cut. Stamped, masked and colored a couple of sun flowers.  One tag was taped to the wood grain background paper and the other was put on with 3D thin foam tape.  The masked sun flowers were added in between the two tags.  The sentiment was stamped in black Mememto black, layered with sapphire and added to bottom corner with 3D thin foam tape.

Hugs - Double Trouble Challenge #82 "Flowers"

Here is my Design Team card for Double Trouble Challenge #82 "Flowers" and using the Color Palette and first-time partner at Make the Cards Color Challenge #13 "Candy Coated".

Don't you love this combination of colors for a pretty floral... of course who lacks floral stamps or images.  Chose a foral stamp and die set that had not yet been used along with the stitched lattice background die, a perfect setting for my floral.  Cut an A2 size panel using Lagoon cardstock, die cut the background lattice in Mint cardstock and adhered to the Lagoon panel.

The hard part is to closely match my Copic Sketch brush pens with the "Candy Coated" color challenge and my cardstock... believe I met this challenge.  I used the thin dies to cut the floral but also did a little fussy-cutting where the florals overlap each other, adhered with thin foam tape for dimension and a little glitter pen on the flowers.

A sentiment die "Hugs" was selected and cut using both Mint and Lagoon cardstock, adhered Mint direct to lattice and layered off-set with Lagoon for dimension.

At Double Trouble Our Things 1, 2 and 3 sure bring on some wierd combinations but I like to challenge them all; however, you have the flexibility of doing just Thing 1 "Flowers" and be eligible for our random draw.

For those that really like more of a challenge may want to include Twisted Sister's optional twist and/or enter at Make The Cards Challenge, our partner for this challenge if you have met their requirement... and you will be rewarded additional chances for the random draw. Please join us for this fun challenge

Color Dare #440 - Crazy 8 "Choose 4 Panels in Board"

This is my Design Team Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #440 "Crazy 8" with my choice of four blocks (Glacier, New England Ivy, Peach and Floral) and using the Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch #502. Decided to as well to use TSOT's technique "Fun Fold" tutorial by Mary Deatherage's tutorial "side fold card".

Color My Heart Color Dare challenges are carried forward for two weeks so if you didn't share your project the first week you still have another week to enter that challenge... both of these challenges are on the side bar of the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge blog. Please check out Design Team Cards and other entrants to give you inspiration and join us for some fun color challenges.

The TSOT sketch was changed to landscape to meet the Fun Fold card base.  Panels were cut for both the border and the main focal point with a striped glacier patterned paper.  On left-side panel a decorative edge was die cut, layered with glacier cardstock and placed a sentiment instad of the flowers.

The focal point was also layered with glacier cardstock, floral fussy-cut from the complement patterned paper and adhered to striped background with tape and thin foam tape for dimension.

Two butterfly die cuts were made, one in a peach design paper and the other in white. Decided it showed off the butterfly better against the floral using the white cut on top with a peek-a-boo of the patterned paper as a shadow on the bottom. They were adhered together on the body of the butterfly and placed on the floral.  Perl was added to the butterfly and some placed along the left-side of panel.

On the inside of the card the same border on the front of the card was added to the right-hand inside border.

Hopping By to Say Hi! and Eggs-tra Special Delivery Easter Cards

Needed three belated Spring/Easter cards for my children for a fun surprise and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #416 was perfect for using the small scraps of design papers left-over in my Daisy Meadows paper packet.  I'm sure the belated cards will not be a problem when they see what they got from the Easter Egg Hunt cards.

The two cards with the chick in a egg car are for my two sons.  The two design papers used for the background were cut, adhered to a 4 x 5.25 piece of peacock cardstock and a zip strip added between the two designs.  For the focal point dies were used to cut a scalloped circle using peacock cardstock and a smaller stitched circle using white cardstock to stamp an image on.  Image was colored using Copic Sketch Pens in a variety of colors.  Seniments were stamped, cut and adhered to the image and background paper.

This cute bunny card is for my daughter.  I love that bunny so much I made several cards for Easter using a fussy-cut bunny from the dessign paper... but this is the last as no more bunny paper left-over in my stash.  Background papers and focal point were put together same as the other two cards, except rather than a stamped item, it was my fussy-cut bunny, flowers and lots 3-D thin foam tape for dimension.

Hawaii is Calling & I Must Go - Double Trouble Challenge #81

This is my Design Team Card for Double Trouble Challenge #81 "Dream Bubble" asking you to include a favorite summer activity or vacation. My Dream Bubble was a trip to Hawaii. We had one scheduled for April of last year and the Pandemic put it on hold. So hopefully later this year or next year we will feel more comfortable to take to the air to Hawaii. Twisted Sister's optional twist was to use a speech or cloud bubble for your sentiment and I chose to use a cloud.

Our partner for this challenge is Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #516, and if you have included a favorite summer activity or vacation spot you can enter their challenge too.

The front of my card is totally made with Cricut svg files; using the Hawaiian card; but moderating the Hawaiian dancer to a print instead of a cut, and the Hibiscus were also initally a cut of several colors so I modified it to a print for coloring.

And the sentiment was found on Cricut; but decided to build my own by pulling in a set of clouds and then added text to the clouds.  There was a considerable amount of time spent on that because I had to familiarize myself with when to use weld, attach, etc.; somewhat frustrating but I was determined and accomplished it.  Another modification was made to the card so I could cut the front a smidgen smaller for the frame. Well, Cricut went to work.  I should have experimented a little more and maybe I could have the items cut too; but I played long enough with the images.

Now to find what design papers to use... so started going through my stash starting with "A" and the first one considered was "Calypso" (a maybe); continued my search and came to "Postcard Perfect" and it was perfect... I fell in love and my search was over.  I had the total packet with the exception of one design paper in half.  Wow, how did I not use this ever before.

Almost any paper could have been used for this card; but I chose the white leafy vellum to adhere to the back of the front of the card and adhered the blended blue waves to the inside.  So, beyond the leaves there were the ocean waves pounding away on the inside with some Hawaiian flowers floating in the bottom corner (cut from one of the design papers).  My "Dream Bubble" was coming alive and the frame was made with the light brown patterned paper for sand.

Colored my images with Copic Sketch alcohol-based brush pens in a variety of colors and adhered them and the cloud sentiment with 3D thin foam tape.  The floral on the inside was fussy-cut from a design paper in the same packet and glued to the inside paper.

Thanks For All You Do - Color Dare #438 - Inspiration Photo

Here is my card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #438 using at least three colors from the Inspiration photo.  I don't very often do a one layer card but I've wanted to use the stitched floral and rather than using Copic Sketch pens I colored the floral with my Chameleon Pencils.  Experimented with blending and then when I added the CTMH clear glitter pen it blended it more.  For a decorative edge on the left-hand side of the card I scored four lines and layered my floral to Flamingo cardstock. Sentiment stamped in the bottom right-hand corner.
