Be My Valentine - Color Dare #326

This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #326 using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #299 and Heart2Heart's "Stamped backgrounds".  I was real proud of the challenges combined and that my layering did not take over the simplicity of the card. When I saw the sketch my memory just pulled me to an old CTMH retired stamp set "Patterned Pennant Flairs" that would work perfectly and with black ink it pulled in all the detail of the floral and gave me the center white panel naturally.  The focal point were all dies that were cut using the shapes as in the sketch, and the sentiment was used in place of the banner.  And of course the splash of my one color, red for the heart.

Also entered in the following Challenges:
The Paper Girls Challenge #67 "Black & White"
Try Stampin' On Tuesday "Sketch #391" Sketch Only Flipped to Landscape
The Outlawz - Twisted Thursday
Joy of Sets TicTacToe #01 (3rd Row: DieCut, Floral, Bling)

Oo, fun take on our sketch! I can't believe those tiny dots on your "notes" - amazing! Very lovely job. Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!

Lovely Valentine card, Sue! The single red heart in the otherwise B&W front panel is very dramatic! I had turned the TSOT sketch sideways, too. It just felt right, as your card demonstrates extremely well! Thanks for joining us this week!!! -Donna

The pattern pennant works great with this card, I actually had to do a double take as it totally looked like a pattern paper just layered. Love that pop of red with your heart. Impressive you ware able to incorporate so many challenges!!

I love that the only pop of color is the heart. Very effective. The layers and patterns are great, too.

Wow, Sue! You really pulled it all out with this card! The background is terrific and fits perfectly for your theme (H2H) and I love the way you layered the sentiment so it has a 3D appearance to it. The single red heart stands out perfectly - drawing the eye right to it! Perfection, absolute perfection. Normally, 2 sketches don't ever work together but these two can be manipulated so they CAN be used for the same challenge (AH) Way to go! This is brilliant on every level. ❤️❤️❤️
