December Holiday Linky Party - Color Dare 272

Welcome to a special Color My Heart Color Dare month long challenge! We are challenging you to use your Close to My Heart Reds and Greens to create. If you don't have these Close to My Heart colors yet you may substitute similar colors so you can still join in the fun!  

To make the holidays even more festive, we are partnering with the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog!  Simply combine our Traditional Color Challenge above, working in the "Critters" and you can enter the H2H Theme "Christmas Critters" ... how fun is that.  Enter at both blogs to share some holiday cheer. Two entries with the same card give you the possibility of more random prize chances.

Since I didn't use a "Critter" in my project I was unable to enter into the Heart2Heart Challenge...but you will see my Critter Card at H2H later.  

Using the Tuesday Morning Sketch #431 and combined with the color challenge chose the green design paper from CTMH "Beary Christmas Paper Packet" and my focal point was a corner ornament die, layered, sprayed with Gold color shine and adhered to white daisy cardstock.  Used a Christmas ribbon for the banner and added a sentiment in Gold.

Since on a roll to complete my Christmas Cards instead of flowers decided to use ornaments in each corner hanging on tree branches.  Also wanted to do a card with non-traditional colors so chose turquoise, pink and silver for the ornaments and adhered to neutral design papers from CTMH "Silver and Gold" paper pack.  My sentiment was "Joy" which was placed on the silver ornament which shows better in the enlarged photo at bottom.

Do Not Open Until Christmas - H2H Nov Wk #4

My concentration has been on Christmas Cards.  At our last Crop we were introduced to Gelli Plate Printing by one of our members.  My background design is one of the Gelli prints made at our Crop (see below for other designs which you may see in future cards).  This background reminded me of ribbon candy which based my decision to use a couple of different stamp sets for more candies, a stocking and gift.  All the images were stamped with versa-mark on different color cardstock, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, fussy-cut and adhered on background with 3D regular and thin foam tape.  Added a gold twine to the gift, and stamped on a sentiment.  

This week's challenge at "Heart 2 Heart "Anything Goes" ... how fun is this.  You must have a card in the making now that you can post in a second challenge...ours.

I Can Bearly Stand It - Color Dare #271

Another Christmas Card from a favorite CTMH Paper Pack "Beary Christmas" ... and this won't be the last...announcement soon made on our December Color Dare challenges. Used the adorable bear and tree design paper and a sketch from Try 

This week's Color Challenge offers a very versatile color selection using the palatte from CTMH Paper Pack "Beary Christmas". So many colors to choose from...and you are in charge. Challenging you to use at least 3 (including neutrals) and as many as 9 of these CTMH Colors: Fern, New England Ivy, Cranberry, Glacier, Tangerine, White Daisy, Pebble, Pewter and Charcoal.

Merry Christmas - H2H Nov Wk#3

"Spectacular Snowflake" from Memory Box needs so little to make a beautiful Christmas Card.  Stamp was cut on Bashful Cardstock and adhered to a layer of Bashful Glitter with 3D thin foam tape.  A sentiment was cut in White Cardstock for shadow and in Bashful Glitter, layered and adhered to background.  Pearls placed in the center of the snowflake, on bottom l-h corner, and dot the "i" in Christmas.  

This week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart "Do Be Bashful" can be interpreted in so many ways ... from Bashful (the CTMH Color of the Year) to feeling bashful about something, a bashful looking character or even Bashful dwarf in Snow White.

AHSC #239 - Christmas Holly Jolly

Another Christmas Card...love this CTMH Beary Christmas paperpack and in particular this floral design paper...and a great sketch to show it off.  The green panel is another design paper from this packet using a die for the scalloped edge on both sides, overlayed it with one of the "All About Gold" plastic design and adhered to floral with thin foam sheet. Selected one of the die cuts from the Complements for this packet and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  Used liquid glass on the holly berries, and also on the small berries on the background design paper.

Cheers Snowman - Color Dare #270

My DT celebration card was created using the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #270 combined with Try Stampin' On Tuesday Sketch #348 "Plain to Fancy". Still trying to get ahead with my Christmas Cards, so chose a cute die from Paper Smooches. My sentiments are generic and could be used for a Winter Birthday Card. Many cuts of the snowman were required for the different colors for piecing them together and layering.

We are challenging you to Use (All and Only) CTMH Colors: Expresso, Heather, Mink, Cranberry, White Daisy and Optional Gold. If you don’t have these CTMH colors you may substitute similar colors. Count Your Blessings - H2H Nov Wk#2

The 2nd Week's theme for November at Heart2Heart this week is "Count Your Blessings". using the Try Stampin' - Or Not - on Tuesdays Sketch Challenge #347.  

Background design papers made using CTMH "Falling For You" and one of the Complements used for a sentiment printing the text from Cricut Design Space.  A couple of the Complements and zip strips were used on the front and inside of card.  Fussy-cut the flowers from the floral design paper and adhered on the corner of the sentiment panel with 3D foam tape for dimension.

Merry Christmas - AHSC #238

Background design paper from "Beary Christmas" was used for this Christmas Card.  Cut one of my favorite oval dies and then decided to go around the stitching with multiple colored snowflakes to make a wreath.  Didn't do any masking but was careful with stamping around the other snowflakes. Last crop was introduced to Delicata Pigment Inks and then purchased several colors which I just received.  They are vibrant, shimmery and they dry fast...no drying time was needed between stamping the different snowflakes and the colors are so vibrant.  Added some snowflakes and tiny sparkles.

Let's Celebrate - Color Dare #269

My DT celebration card was created using the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #269 combined with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #428. Created a personalized celebration design stamping with Bashful Ink on Bashful cardstock, and another small panel of Bashful and Glacier inks on White Daisy cardstock which was used for the balloon die.  The frosting was die cut using Bashful Glitter sheet.  Used stitched trails on the top of the card and outlined with Glacier ink to enhance the stitching. Using foam sheet and thin foam tape raised the cupcake and balloon for dimension.
