Happy Birthday - H2H October 1st Wk

"Mad for Plaid"...Remember "Jack" Paperpack?  There are several plaids in that pack which I had never used ... nows the time.  Using the birthday balloon dies several cuts were made in the different plaids and in black, pieced together and adhered to cut several in the different plaids and in black and then pieced together.  Wasn't sure they would all fit on a A2 card, but with overlaying some of the letters and raising some with 3D thin foam tape it worked.

The Happy was cut from more of the Balloons and since I didn't have a "P" I cut (2) R's and snipped off the one leg of the R.  One of the plaids was used for these letters and the black was added as a shadow.  Wrapped nail tape around each balloon tag and added a couple stars as a band to hold the strings together...turned out to be a Happy and fun card.

This is my Design Team project for Heart2Heart "Mad for Plaid". You have until the end of the month to create to be eligible for recognition as one of the Top 10 "Darlings"... AND if you create a project for each challenge in the month of October you will earn a badge as an H2H Addict for Perfect Attendance.

For additional inspiration on this Challenge hop on by to see what other Design Team members have created and join in the fun. Hope this gives you some inspiration and enthusiasm to link your artwork as a participant ... we look forward to your creativity.

Cut another design paper to cover the inside and added a white PLM card for adding comments or a sentiment and a triangular border of one of the plaids used on the front of the card.

Love how you used the plaid paper. It is a really nice masculine card.

Necessity is the mother of invention when it comes to lettering at times (the P and R scenario...) Love the way you used the plaid here - makes for a terrific masculine card.
