Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #243: This week’s colors shown in the Photo are Blossom, Raspberry, Lagoon, White Daisy and Black - Optional: Silver. Some of these colors are used in the CTMH Little Dreamer Paper Pack.
We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors. Join the fun.
Reminder: Click on side bars for SNEAK PEEKS for future May color challenges so you can plan ahead...and full month of May "Live Beautifully" Challenge at Color Dare. Also, join the Buddy Program, and help them to enter a project as well.
The Outlawz - Sunday "Clean and Simple" was a limited supplies challenge - stamp your own background (either with a large background stamp or lots of smaller stamps), use a sentiment and one embellishment ... so that's what I did using the Color Dare's palette.
Had seen a tutorial a couple weeks ago on a technique using an overlay and stamping How to do the Double Masking Stamping Technique" by Sandi Maclver. The tutorial was coloring, but I chose to use solid stamps for the coloring.
Made my first mask using variable size circle dies from Journey, placed dies on white cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug. Placed this mask over another piece of white cardstock and started randomly stamping with the ink colors in the Color Dare palette and masked where needed.
Next time I do this technique I will probably make the first mask out of tablet paper, as I do with other masking images so the impressions come out closer to the mask ... I had a little bit of touch-up to do on a couple of the flowers. I love the affect of the imaginary circles around the florals.
Stamped in the sentiment, and use a silver heart embellishment next to the sentiment.
Clean & Simple isn't always simple, but it sure makes a pretty card...and the only layering is my black border.

This is a neat technique - the imaginary circle around the flowers. You really have to look twice to figure out what you did... Beautiful images, well organized. Great card!
Beautifully created, Sue. Such a pretty card!
