H2H May - 4th Week "Ribbon"
Hostess: Sue Bruch
Welcome to another Heart 2 Heart Challenge! This week Team Ruby is inviting you to create something awesome with ribbon. Ribbon can be one of the best options for adding color and texture to your design. No ribbon...no problem...how about using a ribbon stamp to accent your card or layout? So many possibilities!
Join us at Heart2Heart this week and other challenges in May... Remember you have all month to create to be eligible for recognition as one of the Top 10 "Darlings". AND if you create a project for each challenge in the month of May, you will earn a badge as an H2H Addict for Perfect Attendance.
For additional inspiration on this Challenge hop on by to see what other Design Team members have created. Hope this gives you some inspiration and enthusiasm to link your artwork as a participant ... we look forward to your creativity.
Looked on YouTube for an idea how to use ribbons and I came across Diane's tutorial "Christmas Cards Using Ribbon Scraps" and used a similar layout and selected a couple ribbons that went with Live Beautifully Design Paper.
Under the smaller panel, looped the ribbon and taped on the bottom half of the panel, added the same ribbon across the top, added some gold a'peel stickers to the ribbon and adhered finished panel with 3D thin Foam tape to my background paper. In my stash had a couple of floral bouquets previously cut and adhered with 3D foam tape.
Die-cut the butterfly, one in design paper and the other in sea glass cardstock, adhered the bottom layer to card, curved the wings on the other and adhered loosely to the top of the other butterfly. Die-cut the sentiment, layered and adhered directly to panel.

WOW! Gorgeous card design, Sue. I saw your card at the challenge and had to pop over and comment. Love the alternating ribbon colors, and their sweet little loops! Beautiful! hugs, de
Fabulous card - the paper is so pretty and I love the ribbon!
This card is stunning! I love the greens in this paper pack and the way you have used the ribbon by creating little tabs under the bottom piece is perfect. I think this is one of my favourite cards using this paper pack :)
I love how your ribbon pieces are folded for a more 3D effect and clean edge. Your card design is fabulous too! Thanks for sharing the ribbon tutorial link and for inspiring me yet again!
:) Marie
