Pumpkin Pie Time

This is a Thanksgiving card which was created for the Bitten By a Bug 2 Challenge (Fall Pumpkins) using the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #166  and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #132. Who doesn't like Pumpkin Pie, and I don't always wait for Thanksgiving for this treat.

In Design Space I came across a doily of pumpkins and thought that would make a nice focal point for the Atlantic Heart sketch.  Cut two different sizes, and then cut a Pumpkin Window Latch layering each, adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape, then added liquid glass to the Latch, and Wink of Stella to the doilies.  Cut another circle for the inside of Latch and in Design Space typed the text "Pie Time" which was cut in the circle and adhered to pumpkin rosette.  Stamped the sentiment, distressed with black ink, and added a couple of green leaves on each side and added Wink of Stella.

Cute idea for that "secret message." You successfully mixed the patterned papers. I especially love the traditional Houndstooth paper. Good luck!

I've never had pumpkin pie. Delicious is it? The pumpkin that opens up and reveals a sentiment is a fun detail. Great patterned papers too.

Reply Suzanne:
Wow...what no pumpkin pie in Norway? It's our Thanksgiving tradition; but you can bake any time of the year. If they have canned pumpkin in Norway, there are good recipes right on the can...hope you try it some day.

This is so fabulous with the little hidden "pie" window! I love it, Sue! I tried to follow you, but the Google man says, "sorry, try again later," so I will. Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell

I just followed another lady's blog so I know the button is working at Google, so I came back to try again and it didn't work. Has anyone else told you they had a problem? Maybe you could have someone else try and if it's not just me, you might want to remove the button and then reinstall it and ask the ones who are following you to refollow with the new button. Or maybe it's just me, but I thought you would want to know! Hugs, Darnell

Darnell, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I had a neighbor try it and she got the same message. I'm having my grandson look into it because he set it up for me. Thanks again for the. And thank you for your kinds words on my pumpkin cards. Appreciate it.

How clever having a message behind the pumpkin face Sue! Those doilies are perfect for this card!

Darnell said...

You're welcome, Sue! I see you removed the button. If you need help reinstalling, let me know. Google wants everyone to be Google+ so they've made it hard to find the old "blue button" for those of us who don't want to do Google+. (darnell dot knauss at gmail dot com) Hugs, Darnell

Don't you just love those Fundamentals?! I do! :) It's an addiction! Great use of the Cricut cuts to design your card! Thanks for playing with us at H2H!

Darnell, I sent you an email, and a second one today. You may want to check your junk mail if I'm not in your address book. Also if you want to use facebook messenger, or email let me know. Thanks again, appreciate any help you can give me. Getting people from Google+ that are not interested in my blog I'm sure.
