Warm Wishes

Used an Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this Christmas Card using the elements "Ribbon (Banner), patterned paper and Coffee or Tea" from TicTacToe Challenge #027.  Love this design paper from Authentique, it reminds me of a warm and cozy sweater or blanket.  Popped up some panels to make it appear more dimensional and knit.  A ribbon banner was added and using my knowledge of a lettering class (some time ago) decided to pick up my special pen and lettered in my sentiment ... a little rusty, but it was fun.

Mugs and Kisses

While going through my stash I came across this adorable teddy bear and thought how cute would he look surrounded by polka dots, a theme at The Outlawz.  Amy provided me with the link below and posted on Facebook...and Sonya, the artist, had used polka dots also.  So, all I can say, keep your prints, who knows you may use them a couple years later.

A Very Merry Christmas - AHSC #241

This paper is so pretty, and great to use wherever it shows off a good portion of the paper and the simplicity of the AHSC Challenge this week worked well.  In place of the bow I used some holly leaves and berries on a small wreath with a sentiment.

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  Love to see you at this challenge...you have until Sunday, December 10th to enter your project.

The design team reveal for this sketch will be on Wednesday, so be sure to stop by to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team and other entrant inspirations for this challenge.

Don't wait for the DT post to create your project...show us up with your artwork and stop by every Monday for new sketches.

Merry Christmas - Dec H2H Week #1 "Silver and Gold"

H2H "Silver & Gold" theme was combined with Try Stampin' on Tuesday #350 using the CTMH "Silver and Gold" Design Papers and Glitter Paper.  Die cut some little fawns, layered and adhered with 3D thin foam tape on the smaller squares.  Die cut the sentiment from gold glitter paper (same glitter used for the framing, layered sentiment and adhered on background paper.  The snow dots were filled with liquid glass to appear more dimensional.

To make the holidays even more festive, Heart 2 Heart is partnering with Color My Heart Color Dare's "December Holiday Linky Party". Since I didn't use a "Critter" in my project I was unable to enter into the Heart2Heart Challenge...but you will see my Critter Card at H2H later.

Using the Tuesday Morning Sketch #431 and combined with the color challenge chose the green design paper from CTMH "Beary Christmas Paper Packet" and my focal point was a corner ornament die, layered, sprayed with Gold color shine and adhered to white daisy cardstock.  Used a Christmas ribbon for the banner and added a sentiment in Gold.

Joy - AHSC #240

Since on a roll to complete my Christmas Cards instead of flowers decided to use ornaments in each corner hanging on tree branches.  Also wanted to do a card with non-traditional colors so chose turquoise, pink and silver for the ornaments and adhered to neutral design papers from CTMH "Silver and Gold" paper pack.  My sentiment was "Joy" which was placed on the silver ornament which shows better in the enlarged photo at bottom.

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  Love to see you at this challenge...you have until Sunday, December 3rd to enter your project.

Do Not Open Until Christmas - H2H Nov Wk #4

My concentration has been on Christmas Cards.  At our last Crop we were introduced to Gelli Plate Printing by one of our members.  My background design is one of the Gelli prints made at our Crop (see below for other designs which you may see in future cards).  This background reminded me of ribbon candy which based my decision to use a couple of different stamp sets for more candies, a stocking and gift.  All the images were stamped with versa-mark on different color cardstock, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, fussy-cut and adhered on background with 3D regular and thin foam tape.  Added a gold twine to the gift, and stamped on a sentiment.

This week's challenge at "Heart 2 Heart "Anything Goes" ... how fun is this.  You must have a card in the making now that you can post in a second challenge...ours.

You have until the end of the month to create any of the November Challenges to be eligible for recognition as one of the Top 10 "Darlings"... AND if you create a project for each challenge in the month of November you will earn a badge as an H2H Addict for Perfect Attendance.

For additional inspiration on these Challenges hop on by to see what other Design Team members have created and join in the fun. Hope this gives you some inspiration and enthusiasm to link your artwork as a participant ... we look forward to your creativity.

Other backgrounds done at our Crop using Brayer tool, gelli plate and acrylic paints.  Fun, messy and never a duplicate design.  Click here for You Tube tutorials for a variety of techniques.   Or go directly to GelliArts for their tutorials.
