This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble #205 "Wrap It Up" using our 3-2-1 Recipe "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" and Twisted Sister's Ribbon (Bow) optional twist... my comfort zone is not using ribbons, but Twisted Sister is allowing you to use a bow die cut, and that's just what I did. My 3-2-1 Recipe is 3 Layers, 2 Colors and 1-Sentiment or Image.
You can also use our Sister Sketch Challenge for inspiration at Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT Sketch #685) which starts on Nov 25th. I was inspired by the sketch but did not use it this time, but don't let that stop you from using their pretty sketch.
My son asked me to make a card for each of his Foster teens he was Christmas gifting this year through Kiwanis... and one of the gifts was to include a Gift Card of their preference. Suggested we make a card to serve two purposes, a card for their bag of gifts and a gift card holder.
Two more cards were created as my daughter and I gifted two other teens in the same Foster home. We spent one night on the internet selecting gifts and finished it off with a shopping spree this past weekend, and of course enjoyed a breakfast and lunch together.
Dusted off my Cricut and decided to do a snow sleigh with a bundle of gifts, a lot of piecing together. Using the Cricut saves a lot of time than running so many dies though the manual cutting machine. The asembly for the first card took a little time; but once that was done the others went pretty fast. Design papers were used for the packages and cardstock for the sleigh, bows and candy canes. The name of the teen was a typewriter font printed on plain paper and bordered with red cardstock.
The background was a grey design paper from my stash.
Here is a photo of two of the cards and a photo of the inside using the same sleigh and propped it up using 3D thin foam tape to make it a gift card holder and added one of the extra bows on the upper right-hand corner.
Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble, have fun and let's "Wrap It Up" with our 3-2-1 Recipe "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" and play along with our optional twist and dare while earning additional chances to our random draw. Check out the Design Teams inspirations, optional twists and dare and let us see what you create... hope to see you there.
Then hop on over to our sister challenge,Try a Sketch On Tuesday #685 to check out the Design Teams inspiration, and you may want to consider using their sketch with our 3-2-1 recipe.
